Very quiet and reliable! The speed control is icing on the cake because even more-expensive fans seldom have that option. This fan was actually cheaper than a similar Chinese-made blower that I bought months ago, but this one is MUCH better made. This one it is replacing was too loud, and after just a week started rattling and making out-of-balance noises that only improved slightly when I tightened things up. Not the Vivosun fan! This thing has now been in service just as long as the old one, and it still sounds and moves air like it was brand new. I very much feel comfortable comparing its performance to that of a Hurricane fan (one of which I also own). These things are perfect for building stand-alone air filter/charcoal filter boxes. My whole family has allergies, and teamed with the right filters this thing is keeping my family sniffle-free without all the noise of a HEPA filter.

Passt, hat eine brauchbare Druckdifferenz um eine Hephafilter davor oder dahinter zu schalten. Geräuschentwickung angenehm und angemessen! Preis sehr gut. Habe damit einen Werkstattfilter gebaut.

Updated - 9/26/18: I sent an email 24 hours ago to Vivosun describing my entire situation. I woke up this morning with a response in my inbox at 5am. They verified i made a purchase on Amazon and offered to refund my purchase. To be honest I did not expect that result. I changed my review from 2 stars to 5 because Vivosun is a company that stands by their products. They put the customer first even when they did not have to. For that I will continue to support a company who values their customer base. Today I purchased 390 CFM inline fan by Vivosun because I would like to try something designed to be slightly more quiet and that uses less power. However, if you are on the fence about purchasing a Vivosun product. Just take a moment to read all of the reviews where they have provided amazing customer service. That should be your deciding factor when making a purchase. I bought this fan a year and a week ago, so i am now out of warranty. I woke up this morning and heard a noticable sound coming from the fan. After unplugging and troubleshooting it appears that it is off balance and the internal fan is rattling. I have used the fan on and off from since september 14th and always on low speed. While it work it was a great product, kinda upset it started having problems right after my warranty expired. Figures... I tried to reach out to Vivosun to see if there is anything that can be done but I couldnot find anyway to contact them on their website and they advise to go through your retailer.
