Dr. Martens Unisex Adult Bonny Nylon 6 Eye Boot

This is really the best shoe I've had in a long time. With most shoes, the soles are too thin, and I am sensitive to that because my plantar faciae are worn down. The soles on the Bonny model are about average, so I needed to double up on the insoles, which I'd have to do for any other shoe. That's why I can't count that against them. The outer soles are nice and sturdy, they seem to be made of a composite of plastic. I work in retail, and they can slip if I'm in a hurry, but where the Bonny model really shines is on concrete. I went for a run in the freezing cold around the parking lot. I could feel every bit of the ground, and I could tell the shoe had good friction. The shoe also cleans easily. I get a lot of mud in my car and on my shoes because I park in a yard. It's easy to take a tissue, spit on it, and wipe off some dirt. It cleans right up! The mud gets stuck in the trenches of the outer sole, but that's ok because those bumps are important to grip each step. But what is way cool, and the thing that sold me on this was the look. I wanted to get some docs, and was looking at the classic, but when I saw the Bonny, I had to have it. And it is either an amazing shoe or a self-fulfilling prophecy, you decide. Other good things are the fit for my foot, the strong laces, the flawless stitching around the sole, and the weight, which is not too light but not too heavy. I can't wear a heavy shoe, but I do like steel toes. If they made a Bonny in a steel toe, I'd have to mail them my first born or something. But then Dr. Martin would have to shoe my, excuse me, their new child with steel toe Bonnys, which they don't make. Maybe that would be part of the deal, I hadn't thought it through. But why would I really care if my firstborn got docs anyway? It's not my problem anymore! Yeah, I probably won't ask for the firstborn to get docs, it seems superflous. I need mine though, a Bonny, with a steel toe. And, a firstborn...

My go to work shoe for 40 years

These are beautiful!! And for the price…yes! I might use insoles because I plan to wear them while I’m out in the field meeting with clients ànd would like as much foot support as I can get. I love that they are not heavy, rather light and color ànd material are phenomenal. These are technically my first pair of black boot Dr Martens ànd I’m in love!

It’s difficult to review this item. I gave a four stars because the sizing is not actually correct after reading the other reviews. I realized that they were unisex size in their warehouse . I ordered an 8 as I usually wear and I have a wide foot however, these boots are big and I need to cinch them up tightly to fit. I’m keeping them because they are excellent boots. It seems like the Toe box would accommodate a male foot even though I ordered women’s , so keep that in mind. If you have a narrow foot these will feel very big

OH MAH GAWD! I love them! I haven't worn Docs since 1999 or was that 2000. Decided to try these out since they're different from what I used to own and that price, I couldn't pass that price up. That nylon canvas look received much compliments from my co-workers. I usually wear a 10.5 and went with a 11 which fit beautifully in my opinion. Though I say that, since these are like boots, it is roomier so I found myself wearing thicker socks sometimes but the toe box was good. In the end I added another insole in there and now it fits like a glove. I wear these for work and I walk a lot for 8hrs a day and they have great cushioning. Due to the thick out-sole that these have, it is heavier than expected at first glance. Break in period was very short and no, these don't jack up the back of your heel...at least it didn't for me. Give them a shot, I think you'll like it also! 3.14.2020 Update - Due to wearing these for security, I put them through more than what most average people might. I have come across one issue I have and that's the heel cup. The heel cup is not a solid piece, reinforced so it tends to bend or crumple and doesn't leave your heel feel as secured. This shouldn't be an issue if you're just walking with them but if you're more active, it can be an issue. I would still recommend these Docs unless you're very active in them.

Perfect as ordered and looking forward to putting many steps on them. My second new pair and they last years.

I got these shoes for work. I'm on my feet my whole shift and have always preferred boots. These are somewhere between a boot and a shoe. I've been wearing them everyday since I got them 3 weeks ago and they still look and feel brand new. There was no break in period, they have been super comfortable since day 1. After switching to these my back and knees stopped hurting and my bunions are alot better. I literally couldn't be happier with this purchase. I was worried they would be a little too big because there are no half sizes bit there perfect. I bought a 10. I usually wear a 9 1/2 - 10. My other Docs are a 10 and a little big but these are perfect. And since they were on sale for 64$ they were a great deal.

Der Schuh sieht super aus und fühlt sich super am Fuß an. Die Sohle ist wie von Dr. Martens bekannt dick und schützt daher sehr gut vor Kälte. Ich trage den Schuh sehr gerne und würde ihn wieder kaufen.

Normalerweise sind mir die Docs immer viel zu groß, aber sie kamen heute an und würden direkt anprobiert und siehe da sie passen perfekt. Ich kann die Schuhe nur jedem weiterempfehlen
