My nephews really liked this remote-control car. It has built-in lights, which I didn't even know. It runs faster than other cars and its style is quite nice. Keep in mind that you'll need batteries since it doesn't come with them. I bought it for a Christmas gift because I wanted something simple since I was going to get him something else. It's a very nice and simple gift.

My 7 y/o son with autism is crazy about all things remote controlled and cars but he's also VERY hard on toys and VERY impatient when it comes to rechargable batteries running out and needing to recharge. I purposefully wanted a cheap, disposable battery option for him since A) It likely wouldn't last longer than 6 months anyway and B) he needs something that we can pop new batteries in and have it keep on running when the old ones die. Most cars with rechargable lithium ion batteries only give you about 20 minutes of play tops before needing to be recharged which can take hours just to get another 15-20 minutes. This is just a recipe for frustration in our house. If you have a big set of rechargeable AA's then it's not a problem with this car! Here's what we love about it: 1) PRICE! I got this on a lightening deal and you really can't beat paying essentially $10 for an RC car that works well, even if it isn't the highest quality item in the world. 2) FAST! My son has the need for speed and this car is a lot faster than I thought it would be for the price! See the video. 3) WORKING HEADLIGHT! My son loves that the headlight turns on when you're driving it. He loves driving it out back at dusk for just that reason. Maybe it drains the batteries a little faster but the kiddo loves it. 4) EASY TO DRIVE! This style of remote is a lot easier for kids to use than the trigger and wheel kind in my opinion. We've had both and my son seems to prefer and has a lot more control over this kind. The cons: Build quality. It's definitely not made of the finest materials but at this price that was not an expectation at all. The remote distance is quite a bit shorter than other similar cars we've had. You have to be within 10 feet or so or it will stop. For backyard driving that's not a big problem but I feel like it really should be longer. It would be nice if there was a switch you could use to turn the headlights off or turn sounds on, but again, for the price it's not a big issue. All in all I can definitely recommend this car for the extremely low price and the fact that it is fast and runs well. If you have really young kids who are ready for their first big kid RC cars and you want to give them a shot at it without breaking the bank, this would be a great option! Hope this helps!

I want to start by saying the customer service for this company’s product is amazing and very prompt!! My son asked for a “lambo remote control car” for Christmas, and after looking at many and reading/verifying reviews, I settled for this one. Christmas morning came and it did not work, much to his visibly extreme disappointment. We could get the remote to light up, but even after several different sets/brands of batteries, I reached out to the “Ask the seller a question” tab from my Amazon account after the holidays were over and all was quiet again. When the generic “please allow 2 business days for a reply”, popped up, I went ahead to Amazon chat so I didn’t have to wait around for a reply since it was a weekend after the holidays and my son could not patiently wait any longer. Amazon sent out a replacement with Prime shipping immediately! The seller responded to my email just a couple hours later after I spoke to Amazon with a sincere apology asking for my address to mail a replacement immediately with no questions asked! I couldn’t believe how prompt they were to respond and to try and remedy the situation and on a weekend no less! I let them know that Amazon already took care of the replacement and that a duplicate was not necessary and thanked them for being so quick to respond to a customer issue. The replacement arrived 2 days later and my son was SO happy. The only super small issue I can find with the toy is with durability. A couple of small crashes later, the front bumper fell off, but performance wasn’t affected and it’s nothing a little super glue can’t fix! I will say that this type of car is not meant for withstanding crashes like a monster truck type RC would be built for, and it was partly (or mainly) due to operator error (my son who is trying to learn how to drive and control this thing!) If you buy for a younger child (my son is 7 and he has autism), be aware this little thing is actually pretty darn fast and he’s learning to get control of it and steer!

My son has asked me REPEATEDLY for a remote control car for YEARS. That’s generally the ONE thing he always wants, I just never buy them because their dad usually gets them stuff like that for gifts, but the ones they bring home aren’t the best quality. And being boys, they usually destroy those cars pretty fast (still not sure how that happens). This year for Christmas I got him a car and in his favorite color (orange). He was so excited he started jumping up and down and then immediately went to try it. He drives it all over the house, much to the annoyance of our dog. It’s great quality car. The only complaint I had about it is that it didn’t come with batteries for the controller.
