Flymo EasiGlide 300 Hover Collect Lawn Mower - 1700W/1900W Motor, 30cm Cutting Width, 20 Litre Grass Box, Folds Flat, 10m Cable Length, Orange and Grey

My lawn is larger than average with some areas of quite steep slopes. I had been using a petrol mower for many years but this summer it gave up. After doing some research I found a like for like replacement motor mower would cost me around £450-£500, well outside my budget. However I noticed the Flymo got several good reviews & priced at just over £100 I thought I would chance it. And am I glad I did. Flymo are known for being decent quality & this model is driven by a powerful electric motor. It tackles everything I ask it to, even when grass has got quite long. It glides over the steep slopes with ease, whereas my motor mower kicked up & slid off line making cutting these areas very hard work. Having a power cord is inconvenient for sure, but it comes with a very long lead attached & together with an extension lead I didn't find it a problem at all. Just be careful not to cut through the cable, it happens!! The only fault I have with this model is the grass box container needs a window so you can check how full it is. A minor quibble but one easily solved by having a transparent lid. Down to production costs I suppose. Assembly is very easy, couple of fittings to attach the handle & away you go. I've seen some reviews which criticize the need to fit spacers to the blade attachment to adjust the cutting height. This is a very easy process, I don't see that as a problem at all. Also the spanner required to do this comes supplied with the mower as well. Having a largish lawn I opted for the 36cm width model, but for those with smaller areas the 30 or 33cms width will be more than adequate for the job. I attached 2 of the 3 spacers provided to lower the blade. This gives a very good low cut, leaving a nice tidy finish to the lawn. All in all a very good quality product at a very good price. Lightweight & easy to use. I highly recommned it.

The product is very easy to assemble and set the height of the cutting blade. The machine is easy to use it floats on air well. The motor is powerful if a little noisy. I bought it to replace a fly - mo which finally gave up the ghost after 40 years, yes forty years! I use it to cut the stalky grass in the lawn which my cylinder motor mower won’t touch, in this regard it does a perfect job. I have also tried it on some longer grass app 4” which it cut well. However, it does not pick up the grass cuttings well. I would say it picks up less than 50%. Not a problem for me but maybe something to consider if you want a pristine cutting free lawn. The ability to fold the handle to store was an important consideration so when out of use it can be hung on a wall. I would have given it 5 stars but for the grass collection issue. I recall I’m not the first to make this comment.

Great little mower. It doesn't really "hover" much. Buty 2 lawns are small enough to not need it. I was pleased with the quality of it. Yes it is plastic. But it's small and lightweight. Doesn't have wheels, so need to pick it up to carry around. The 4 different length adjustments are good. And it gives a really good cut

Excellent, lightweight corded hover mower. Easy to assemble and use.

I bought this mower and having tried it out on a nice sunny day, I have had to return it. I thought it would be perfect for my small lawn but the design is flimsy and it sprayed the cut grass everywhere. I therefore couldn't mow along the edge of the terrace or close to my pond. The design for the grass collection is terrible as it is not within the body of the mower. Instead, it is a kind of suction "shute" set on the outside of the mower, collecting only a minimal amount of the cuttings. A lot of grass also collected underneath the mower, stuck to the plastic around the blade, needing to be scraped off. I have gardened professionally and used many, many types of mowers. This one is dreadful and I would not recommend it.

This cuts really well and has three cutting heights which are achieved by adding or removing the height blocks. The tool for this is supplied. Moving the mower is straightforward enough once plugged in just press the button and hold the trigger handle to keep mowing while pushing the mower in the desired direction. Doesn't feel to heavy or bulky and is also used by a pensioner. It has a grass box that does an excellent job of collecting the grass and is emptied by opening with a simple lift to dispose of the grass in to the garden waste bin. This mower is corded but you get a good amount of cable. Very good mower and has been doing the business for a while now and I expect another successful summers mowing. Recommended if you are looking for a corded hover type mover and these still look good and modern. The storage is a little different to previous designs as the handle can be folded twice for compactness but has an extra screw/knob.

Versus the old Glider330 model: I think the weight's come down which is good. It's actually very easy to mow from side to side when you get the to the corners. But there are quite a few features from the previous model (ones that, if I recall, Flymo boasted about) that have disappeared. (1) you can no longer just pull a handle to lift the collector, now you have to open the lid and then pick up the box with two hands. (2) The handle doesn't go quite a vertical is it did before, which makes it hard to push the unit when you've got the fence behind you and you need the mower close to your feet. (3) Most disappointing - you can't just carry the mower into the shed with one hand. (4) There's no onboard storage for the spanner/scraper and spacers. (5) I also don't feel it gets as close to the edge as the old Glider model , so I may have to strim a slightly greater distance from the wall. I don't know why these features were removed. It may not have been cost. It may have been for the weight reduction, or possibly because these were weak points in the previous mower. Note that I only binned the last model because the plastic into which handle was held cracked and couldn't be repaired. The motor was going fine. So maybe the one hand lift actually caused a problem?

This review is for the Flymo EasiGlide 360. First the good bits: * This Flymo is the 2000W version rather than the 1800W shown in photos, so it has a bit of extra "hover" power. * The mower does a good job of collecting grass in the box when the grass is dry. I didn't notice excessive grass being blown out the sides. * The grass box is easy to remove and empty. Now the negatives: * The mower would benefit from a handle on top above the motor. Absence of this makes it harder to carry around and manoeuvre into a tight space in the shed. * It only hovers on a perfectly smooth lawn. My lawn appears generally flat, but there are sections where it's hard to push and sections where it "floats" nicely. On less even lawns it would be a nightmare. * It was impossible to fit the height adjustors with the plastic tool they provide - the bolt is too tight. I was able to undo the bolt using some adjustable metal pliers (plumber grips), however it was a two person job. * The small roller wheel on the front does not help in moving the mower. * There is quite a lot of noise and vibration as other reviewers mentioned, but I felt it was not so much as to be problem. * The lid of the grass box doesn't close properly without wobbling the lid and box around a bit. Not a big deal, but feels a bit cheap. * The cable should be about 5 meters longer - extension cables are an extra hassle. Overall satisfied, but some silly annoyances that executives really should have picked up on before this product went to market.

Da der Mäher aus England kommt, benötigt er natürlich einen Adapter für den Schuco Anschluß - gleich mitbestellen- Das Mähen ist leicht und handlich; das Ergebnis kann sich sehen lassen. Alles in allem dauert der Mähvorgang etwas länger als mit "Antrieb", dafür ist die Qualität besser. Das Gras sollte nicht ganz so hoch sei.
