Stuffed Fables: Oh Brother!

If you loved the original Stuffed Fables, this expansion is an absolute must-have. Oh Brother! adds new characters, fresh stories, and even more imaginative adventures that perfectly blend storytelling and strategy. The new scenarios are creative, touching, and filled with that same mix of charm and excitement that made the base game so special. The new stuffed heroes fit right in with the originals, and the added components are high quality — just what you’d expect from Plaid Hat Games. My family especially loved how the new missions feel meaningful and connected, making every playthrough feel like a continuation of a much bigger story.

A great addition to the game

My family LOVED Stuffed Fables and couldn’t wait to play the Oh Brother Expansion however, after playing 3 out of the only 5 chapters (which is 2 chapters LESS than SF), I sort of wish we hadn’t bothered with Oh Brother. 1) In spite of being an expansion, OB did not have many cool additional Items to add to the Item Deck or Minions/Bosses to add. I expected more creative gear and more minion figures for the money. The book itself was printed on cheaper paper stock. 2) The addition of 2 new players was welcome, but I found Manny to be limited in his usefulness as a team player— lots of the Items seem Manny-specific. And OB recommended leaving out some of the other beloved original players from these new stories which limited playability. 3) The cost is very steep given you’ve already paid a lot for SF and you don’t seem to get as much in this as in SF. I would think this should be about half the price of SF. 4) You could tell the makers did not play-test this sufficiently as there were a couple pages that dragged on needlessly or seemed to lack direction/hints. However, we still enjoy the game enough, but it is a bit of a let-down compared to the original.

Game arrived timely and in good condition! Very interesting and fun to play
