Cost-Effectiveness Analysis in Health: A Practical Approach

It's a good intro book for students who are new and wish to learn about to cost-effectiveness analysis. On the other hand, if you are already familiar with clinical trials, have read CEA analysis before, or plan to "build" CEA models yourself, this book may not be sufficient. This books primarily discusses what is CEA than how to.

This textbook is written for students with minimal background in CE. Key concepts are presented in a simple manner. Not sure if this book will be useful for a deep dive in CE or if you want to do CE research.

The textbook has typos. If you compare this edition to the prior edition, you will see the last one was edited more thoroughly. Some chapter exercises are missing key words, which impacts the outcome of the answer. If you refer back to the second edition, you will find the same questions and answers without the misprints. Overall, I would recommend using the last edition of this textbook until the third edition has been throughly proofed and corrected.

A good book for getting through cost effective analysis research and publishing your work as a researcher.

Not so much a review as it is does it match the description and typical price - and the answer to both of those is yes.

a good book for intro of CEA. very basic, but might not be too helpful for a more complex modeling and real work.

I love that its getting me one step closer to graduation!

Too many problems with the answer section of the book being wrong.

More than a great introduction, it is a practical step by step walk through in your first project (l may give it 6stars if I complete the project :) )
