These worked fine for my 2008 Ford Ranger, but there are a few points, some are noted in other comments. (I do not have a remote option, just the plain keys): 1. It was mentioned in other reviews the Lowes would cut the key. At least where I live, that's not true any longer. Walmart and 2 Lowes locations only cut keys that are purchased in their store, and no vehicle keys. I had to go to a locksmith identified on their website. (I got a QR code with the keys. It was easy). It was $10 per key. I originally called a locksmith who was not in the website and was told they would not cut the key because they didn't know what kind of metal was used in the key, so he was concerned it might damage his key cutting machine. 2. I had to have both original keys in order to program the new keys. I wanted new keys because the plastic broke on one of my original keys, and I was afraid I would lose the other. The directions for programming were basically put in the first original key, turn the key to the 'on' position, but do not crank the engine. Hold at least one second. Repeat with the 2nd original key, then put in the new key to program it. This has to be done pretty quickly. I tried it a few times and couldn't get it to work. I think the issue is that when I put in the original key, I needed to wait for the security light on the dashboard to go off, then remove the original key. Repeat with the 2nd key. 3. I'm keeping one original key in the glove box until I'm comfortable that the newly programmed keys will continue to work. When first trying to program the new keys, I was able to start my truck, then when I turned off the engine, it stopped working. In total, getting these keys cost me $35 - $40(~ $12 for the keys, ~$20 to cut the keys, plus tax), but the locksmith told me he charges $100 to program keys, so keep that in mind I'll try to follow up at a later date to comment on whether they programming stopped working.

Buen producto, solo mande a cortar las llaves para poder programarlas con mi camioneta, una vez cortadas use forscan para agregarlas, ahora tengo tres llaves que funcionan.

I am so happy I found this item. Worked flawlessly for my 2010 Ford Ranger. I bought these into homedepot and asked them to cut it using these blanks. They did it for free as they only charge for the blanks they use. In this case, they only cut the key. I went back to the truck and follow the instructions found online to program the key. You will need two keys in order to self program. Transponders worked flawlessly. Now i have a bunch of spare keys and couldn't be happier. I would be this 10 stars if i could.
