Lightshare Lighted Palm Tree, Small, Green, 5-Feet (ZLS5FT)

I wanted something different for Christmas this year rather than the traditional tree now that my kids are all grown. I ended up finding this palm tree. I really like it. It looks so nice when the lights are on. Also it can be used all year around which I am doing. I liked it so much I still have it up in my living room. It was simple to put together. It took about 5 minutes tops. At first it seemed cheaply made but I quickly got over that thought upon looking at the actual finished product. We have had the lights going on and off since Christmas time without any issue ( it is now February). The lights are LED's. The ones on the trunk you can wrap however you like, but the ones on the leaves are actually built in and not meant to be removed. So how long will they last, I'm not sure. LEDs are one of those items where quality counts. Cheaper lights will present issues much quicker than quality strands will. I have read a few reviews here and a few in the question section where people are complaining of flickering lights. I have not had that issue, but I am also not using a dimmer switch. This is typically where that issue arises most often. The lamp shop explains that LEDs only provide light when an electrical voltage runs through them. If this voltage is not constant, flickering will happen. This only affects LED bulbs because others like halogens and incandescent maintain enough heat to cover brief gaps in voltage. LEDs don't. This should only be a problem when LEDs are installed with incompatible dimmer switches; it shouldn't happen when fitted to a regular light switch. Reason being is standard dimmer switches are designed to operate with incandescent or CFL bulbs of 40 watts or more. A 40w incandescent bulb is equivalent to a 9w LED bulb, so when you fit your 9w LED into the fitting the wattage comes up short. It is far below the minimum for the fitting which can cause problems. At any rate, like other lights , LED's can and do eventually fail, usually due to cheap components before the bulb itself actually dims. But whatever the reason, I suppose when that time comes I will just buy a seperate strand and intertwine them thru the leaves at that point. Pretty simple. If I'm really unsettled about it , I can just replace the whole tree . I mean for 100 bucks, even if it works for 2-3 xmas' that's more than my money's worth considering the cost of buying a fresh tree each year just to watch the poor thing die in my living room. So anyway I think the tree looks great. Bigger than I thought it would be. It touches my ceiling practically as you see in the photo. Everyone loves it and compliments on it when they see it. It looks great with lights on or off even. You can't see the lights are even there on the leaves when they are not plugged in unless you get real close to notice it. The base holds the tree up, but barely. It would not take much to push it over at all. We don't have little ones running around 😔 so it's no big deal for us. If you plan to use it outside it does come with 4 mounting stakes for the base which you will need to use or else a strong wind would definitely take it down. Overall for the price it's a great buy . I'm very happy with it and the ease of assembly and disassembly make it great for the holiday season if your someone who hates dealing with all those wire branches of different sizes and colors codes like I am. I would definitely recommend it for any casual use purpose. Thanks

Honestly, this little palm tree is adorable. I thought it was going to be cheapy and kind of tacky looking but the lights are bright and the leaves fan out pretty nicely. My daughter can't sleep without lights and this was a great replacement to the Christmas tree being up all year. It feels a little on the cheap side but its fine for my kids room and I would use it for any summer party. It took about 5 minutes to put it together.

UPDATE!!!!!! 1 star to a 5 star review!! Amazon put me in touch with the manufacturer. The manufacturer reached out to me and worked with me. It was determined that all we needed was a new adapter. We received the new adapter and the tree works great!! So, if you bought this tree and had the same problem that we did, reach out to Amazon first. Thank you Amazon and Lightshare Customer Service. Satisfied customer here. This tree is beautiful, however the lights have quit working in less than 3 months and only plugged in probably under 12 times. I am currently waiting to work with the manufacturer this issue as it is past the 30 days Amazon return policy. Amazon has been VERY helpful. Now it is the manufacture’s turn to help me. We shall see what the outcome is. As you can see in the pic is doesn’t work and is plugged in. We have tried several extension cords and have also plugged it into the outlet directly and no lights. 😞

In the back yard in New England. Night time next to my pool, it's beautiful. Nice and Big. Lights up pretty good. Recommend it if you want to decorate

we live in swfl now and no longer cut our christmas trees from the orchard windbreak. so, yes, this is our new xmas tree. looks great near the leg lamp.

I absolutely love this tree. It’s great decor. The leaves colors in green are great. It holds its shape well. We purchased it 5 years ago & it’s still going strong/ all lights still work! WOW! We’ve used it year round. It’s next to the pool during Spring, Summer & Fall. It’s on our screened in porch for the rest of the year. I spray painted the leaves last year as they were fading. But after 5 years, who cares because that is OUTSTANDING! I really love this tree. I would definitely buy another from this seller. It’s In my Top 10 Favorite Amazon purchases of all time.

Love the tree. Have had it for 4 years. Buy the adapter. Our lights finally went out but came right back with a new adapter. Brilliant. Got the adapter advice from another review and they could not have been more spot on.

Perfect for my Spanish classroom! 7ft - easy to assemble. I also teach a visual literacy class where we dim the lights and this puts off the perfect amount of light.

Ithought this thing could look cheesy or childish, absolutely not its very well done, especially when it's lit up it looks amazing, great summer décoration up here in Canada where palm trees are rather rare!

We have an outdoor hot tub, but we had a "room" built around it. We don't need it heated; we just wanted to avoid the icy cold winds in winter. We've been pretending it's a tropical escape (even in the cold winter). This palm tree with its tiny white lights is just perfect in our spa!

We couldn't travel this winter due to restrictions, so decided to try bringing some tropical atmosphere into our home. This did the job. PROS: a bit kitschy, but looks great. No excuses needed. Friends and family are impressed (so they say :) Everything worked. Fronds are very adjustable. Built for reasonable use. CONS: LED connectors are small and cheaply made - take care assembling; claims to be weather resistant but be sensible if outdoors, may not withstand much rain or wind; metal base is small, okay for indoors but should have weights if outside; lights are quite bright. Overall, no regrets, would buy again.

It’s AWESOME!!! Exactly what I wanted! My only criticism is, I wish the lights on the palm leaves went right to the end of the leaves. Other then that, it was super easy to put together, and it looks great, whether it’s daytime or nighttime! The lights are super bright too! I also loved that I could screw it right down to the deck! I HIGHLY recommend this product! It’s a great product for the money! I may just buy another one! 😃🌴

Great looking fake tree i added to my hot tub room. One thunder storm & half the lights blew. Even had it plugged into a surge free plug. Rearranged the working lights to stretch over the tree only to last a few more days. Lights started to flicker on & off then completely stopped working. Will look to see if i can add my own lighting to it. Quite disappointed as it’s a beautiful looking palm tree. Hubby did have to screw it to the floor though. Hope I can add new lights :(
