Yes it matters, the input and output speed sensors are not the same in your vehicle. These are not the right sensors

Q: Will this work for 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited 4.7?

Use Mopar parts on your Jeep. They are the best. I found out late and bought the cheaper one first. Had to change them. I hope this helps you.
