Remover for Ebbe PRO Drain Covers - (Threaded T-Puller) (2-Pack) Y

We had a total house remodel done and moved into our new house this past June (2023) and recently around early October the shower drain started to have pooling water, i.e. it was backing up. Thankfully I had taken lots and lots of photos during our home remodel and found the one that showed the product packaging that our reno company used when they did the shower drain and it was Ebbe. With that info I was able to google and then land on buying this T handle thing. Once I had this it was really easy to carefully lift out the grate (wantied to be careful about the perfect grout lines) and then oh boy the amount of hair and soap scum was just amazing. It was amazing that any water was draining through that mess. And since I didn't have any of the replacement hair traps (I just ordered the 8 pack of those today), I simply used a tissue (actually a few) and gently removed all the hair and soap scum (yuck!) and then gave the hair trap a good rinse under the bathroom faucet and placed it back in the drain and replaced the grate. And just like that a fully functional drain and no more pooling. So no need for a plunger, or awful drain cleaners, or a call to a plumber, etc. I really appreciate the design of this Ebbe shower drain system.

My husband threw out the drain opener that came with our drain when he installed it but thankfully this was available and works perfectly.

Use this when needed to clean or clear shower drain. Works great.

Fits perfectly for a 2019 shower train, just screw into the hold then pull up the drain cover to access the hair and yuck
