How do you get the pump to work? It’s not coming out.

If you actually got the cap off, (which is super tricky because of the "child proof" cap that is required by law, you simply need to pump it several times as you would any other lotion bottle.

Does this have hormones?

No. It does not contain hormones.

How does this numb vaginal burning any better than a lidocaine gel like alocane emergency burn gel, 4% ? i have intense vulva burning at night.

I never tried Alocane. I am using Intimate Relief when needed. It burns for a minute or two but then it stops the vulva burning.

What’s up with the new packaging? Can’t seem to get this open without breaking the bottle

Thanks for your question/comment. The company had to replace the packaging per FDA requirement. The new packaging has a child resistant lock. I had try to attach a link above to an instagram video the company posted, showing how to open a the new bottle, but amazon wouldn’t let me post it. The video can be found on YouTube too. They’ll need to add that here too.
