Once you get the hang of it ... Works like a champ
This item works well. I started by using a rebel t7 camera. It's a little heavy so the arm sagged when fully extended and shook when I hit the button to take the picture. All my issues not the product. Once I figured out no to over extend the arm and to use a remote for the camera, it worked great. I then replaced the camera and installed a webcam. The cam is attached to my computer and it was easier to take pictures through the camera. Pictures were uploaded immediately for use in PowerPoint. Overall, a good product

Surprised at how good it was.
I've been looking for a good and reasonably priced top-down camera arm for a few years now. This one finally came up in my searches and I bought it. It's well-made, easy to put together and easy to use. I used to take some photos of various objects on my desk and it was a stable platform for that. The arm didn't move unnecessarily, so it was easy to take photos that were reliably consistent, even across multiple products. If you're looking for a good solution for taking flat top-down photos, or even ones at a consistent angle, this is a really good option. Paired with one of the iPhone clamps/holders, it's great for taking advantage of your iPhone's cameras to take good photos. I'd absolutely buy it again.

Superb Stand for Video Conferencing and Still Photography
This is one of those rare, simple things that is immediately satisfying because of its materials, design, and build quality. I use it to position my webcam over the top of my monitor array and to support an auxiliary light. It is sturdy and well-crafted. The machined parts are nicely finished. Delightfully uncomplicated - no instructions included or required. A great choice for folks who work from home and appreciate the elegance of simple quality.

Arms a bit wobbly when extended
The main shaft is very stable and it's got a nice mount that is deep enough and long enough to securely mount on the right surface. Other mounting brackets I've used haven't been deep enough to give a secure "bite" past the ogee edge finish of my table. This may be the nature of the beast, but I did find that the arms were a bit more wobbly than I'd like. I mounted mine on a pretty stable table, but the slightest movement on the table would result in the arms shaking a bit. I'm hoping the video I just shot used some good camera voodoo to keep it from looking shaky!

have to get separate attachment for phone
I really like this... had been using an architect style swing arm phone mount, but it was hard to get the phone low enough and in the right place at the same time. this makes it a little easier since the arms are horizontal, not vertical. have it attached to the end of my five foot wide desk and it comfortably reaches the middle and the arms fold up so as not to be in the way.

Fit and Finish great for rod and arms, the ball swivel is terrible
I'm using this to support a Sony A7C with 35mm GM prime lens so not a lot of weight. I'm extending it outwards using 2ea arms and am not using one of the arms. The arms are attached at the center of the pole and the pole leans about 1 degree so not too bad of a lean, though noticeable if trying to see if the vertical rod is plumb. The ball swivel mount this product comes with is worthless. The ball came oily and no matter how hard you tighten it, it can't hold the camera, or even a small LED light that well. The swivel succumbs to gravity and anything that has weight will slowly lean until it leans over completely. I suppose degreasing and roughing up the metal ball might help, i've also heard kitty litter to add some "grit" to the ball might fix this but I didn't bother because I don't like the tightening knob at all. I ended up swapping out the ball swivel for another one by another import brand and it works like a charm. I would highly recommend purchasing the arm with another heavier duty swivel mount than the one that this comes with. In addition, consider getting the one with the 2nd arm if you want to "counter balance" the pole so that it doesn't lean to one side. Overall, the aluminum arms and hardware are good quality, and the matte coating is nice but can get fingerprints though I have no issues with the craftsmanship. I like the swivel arms, pole and hardware that attaches to the desk. It does feel like it is designed to be set in one position and does not like frequent adjustments. I would score this higher if I felt like I got my money's worth and that I didn't think there were some improvements to be made.

Great Photography Tool!
This item is easy to assemble and use for taking great still photos! It's much more versatile than using a tripod!

Excellent for mounting all kinds of things
I'm a YouTuber so my use case my different than some but using this arm helped me lose a few stands from my set up. I previously had the mic on one stand and the light on the other but with this, I removed the stand from the boom and attached the boom arm to the top of this mount for the light. Then used the arm itself to mount the mic in place. I'm using another arm for the camera that's attached to the desk but technically I could connect it to the mount as well, but it isn't needed. Previously, I had it connected to a different desk and used it as something to hold a gopro as a 5th camera during live streams. Keeping the knobs a little loose allowed me to be able to use the mount as a moving arm to show people around the studio. Overall, this thing is awesome and you can use it in some pretty creative ways, especially if you have extra adapters and mounts laying around. As a side tip, if you have a mic flag, it also fits comfortably over this pole in the event you want to put it there.

It is sufficiently robust to handle a DSLR. Solidly made and well designed. Easily multiple directional, and the camera position can be moved with ease. This eliminates the need for a tripod in my tiny studio. Trying to work around a tripod in a small space is limiting, physically exhausting and a huge time waster. I wish I had had one of these years ago.
