HTC VIVE Tracker (3.0) – Full-Body Tracking for SteamVR, VRChat, Motion Capture

One of the best trackers I've used and completely worth the price if your willing to pay it! The trackers are small and light and done feel like they weigh you down at all and the battery life is 8 hours or so even after years of use which is pretty good! For longer gameplay I would invest in battery packs but 8 hours is nothing to scoff at and is enough for most people. They are durable and have lasted many uses in VR although I don't do crazy rolls or action stuff in VR but for casual interaction and casual or frantic movements its perfect and have lasted me over 3-4 years. These use Light house tracking which means you need to have base stations or else these won't work! Also if you expect to have blankets or anything on over these i would look into getting a different tracker as these need to be in view of them at all times, although the trade off is impeccable tracking with pretty much no recalibrating. I usually only have to do initial calibration for in game avatars. Highly recommend these when searching for a VR Tracking solution.

I've been using the HTC Vive Tracker 3.0 for a few months now, and it's honestly one of the best additions to my VR setup. What I love: Lightweight and Compact: The 3.0 version is noticeably smaller and lighter than its predecessor, which makes a big difference for comfort—especially when wearing multiple trackers. Battery Life: Huge improvement! I consistently get around 7-8 hours of use, enough for extended sessions without needing a recharge mid-way. Accuracy: Positional tracking is incredibly responsive and stable. I’ve rarely had any drift or desync issues when paired with proper base station placement. Versatility: I've strapped it to my hips, feet, and even props for creative projects. It integrates smoothly with SteamVR, and setup is straightforward. Tips: Make sure you have enough USB dongles and USB bandwidth if you're using multiple trackers. Combine with Vive straps or 3D-printed mounts for secure fit—especially for intense movement. This is a must-have for anyone serious about VR immersion or creative workflows involving body tracking. It takes VR from fun to phenomenal.

Expensive, but durable. They track great granted your stations can see them. I recommend 3 if you use VR a lot. Or 2 if you just want legs in your game. There's cheaper alternatives, but none have worked better than these in my case. HTC gang.

Didn't expect it to be so good but i see why its so expensive now. Wish the design wasn't so obnoxious so it didnt get in the way of everything. Otherwise really awesome tracker. Terrible instructions though... to set it up you have to hold the power on it once to turn it on then again to enter pairing mode, then in steamer on the desktop u find devices and pair a controller, then vive tracker and then you set up which tracker its for (foot leg hand etc). After u set up all your trackers you launch your game and then space calibrator. U use space calibrator to sync only one tracker. You have to select the device on the left u want to sync it to then the tracker on the right u are going to sync. U have to figure out which device it is by powering it off and checking steamers devices to see which one turned off and then remembering that identifier when u turn it back on. U can label this if u want for faster setups. Then u hold it to the controller u are syncing it to and you do a figure 8 in the air. U dont have to do the slowest, u can just do slow. I have had no issues with the middle setting here and its just as accurate as the slowest. If ur worried set it to the slowest and then suffer as you do that figure 8 9000 times. Sometimes I just sit there and dont do the figure 8 and it figures it out. After you get that synced it will show the correct location. If not do another sync. Make sure u cover reflective surfaces. And too many signals can annoy the dangles and ruin tracking. Id start with reflective surfaces first by covering them all with a blanket then testing direct line of sight with the dongles and spacing them after. If u sync one dangle all other dangles connected should sync automatically as long as u stay in the base stations play space. When ur synced up go back to ur game and enjoy! Hope this helps!

OOH heck yes. I've wanted this fbt for hecka long. I play vrchat, and I would get so jealous seeing people with Vive trackers lol. Now I'm saving for my own. 5 stars💙

I bought a few in the past and I think they are the best of the best VR trackers for VRchat or even for motion capture. As long as you have at least 2 base stations your perfectly fine, in my case I’m using 1 base stations and 3 trackers and it works FINE… they are the best in performance and the software is even the easiest thing in the world, no matter the Vr headset your using VIVE trackers are always the best.
