great water bottles
I love these bottles - durable, and easy to use. we had the prior version and we would have kept them, but when cleaned the mouthpiece and straw, we didn't use a silicon brush... so it pierced straw. Sometimes i could get a finger over the hole to get better suction, otherwise, great product! i included a pic of the silicone brush we now use to keep the straw and mouthpiece clean. I never use the lock feature - but as long as it closes, i'm usually safe from spillage :D Fits in our cup -holders in the vehicle. hopefully we won't need to buy more soon ;)

Replaced, much better
Much better. They sent me a used or broken one before. It did not have any packaging on it and the mouth piece was not popping up properly. Then I sucked ALL air. I requested a replacement, and it was prompt. And it had packaging on it. This one is not used or broken. Thank you, I love these bottles very much.

Convenient water bottle
I've been using the Contigo Ashland 2.0 for a few weeks now, and it's quickly become my go-to water bottle for daily use. Here’s a breakdown of my experience: Pros: Leak-Proof Design: The Autosput technology really works. I toss this bottle into my bag without worrying about spills. Secure Lid Lock: The button lock adds an extra layer of security, especially when traveling. Angled Straw: It’s surprisingly effective at helping you sip every last drop without tilting the bottle awkwardly. Spout Cover: Great for keeping the drinking area clean, especially when outdoors. Comfortable Handle: The integrated handle is sturdy and makes it easy to carry around. Dishwasher Safe: Cleaning is a breeze—just toss it on the top rack. Fits Car Cup Holders: A small but appreciated detail for commuters. Cons: Straw Cleaning: While the bottle is dishwasher safe, the straw can be a bit tricky to clean thoroughly without a brush. Plastic Feel: The Tritan plastic is durable, but some users might prefer a more premium material like stainless steel. Overall Impression: This bottle strikes a great balance between functionality and convenience. Whether you're using it at the gym, in the car, or at your desk, it performs reliably. The Juniper color is also a nice touch—subtle yet stylish.

Can leak when open if it tips, but completely leakproof when closed.
This is, generally, a very nice water bottle. It will leak if the straw is open and it tips over - any water in the straw, plus any that is above the point where water would enter the straw at the angle it falls to when tipped. But it seals well, and if it does tip when open, it's still less mess than an open glass. Best bet is to make a habit of closing the straw between sips when drinking, especially if you are around electronics or anything else that could be damaged if wet. Don't use with carbonated beverages, the gas has nowhere to go when it is closed, and the release of pressure when it opens can cause a bit of a "volcano" of escaping liquid pushed out by the gas pressure in the bottle.

Best sports bottle ever!
Buy far these are the best water bottles for sporting events we have ever used. The two pack was excellent for my wife and I to each have one. I take it to all my tournaments and the locking mechanism works very well to prevent spills.

Very good water bottle
Bought this as a gift; personalized it with UV DTF, turn out pretty good, and my sister in law, loves it.

Honestly this is great!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Disclaimer: This is not a scripted dialogue, rather an open-minded review freely written by me and I'm not paid to leave a review by Amazon or by this company as this was done by personal choice, I am not affiliated with the company or its products nor do I claim to be. And to inform other fellow shoppers like myself to make a personal choice. However I do not force people into making decisions or sway their opinions as I only do Honest reviews and personal opinions of the product entailed. This is probably my newest favorite brand of reusable water bottles, especially for something this good, it can lock or unlock with a little switch somewhere on the cap part. Exactly what I paid for and its being put to good use for storing water conveniently. Other than that, Zero complaints but 5 Star Satisfaction guaranteed.

DRIPS and TERRIBLE DESIGN
These are TERRIBLE. We loved our previous Contigo water bottles which finally wore out - we thought these were the replacement. But UGH. We will never buy water bottles online again - always in the store so we can see them from all directions. Of course we still wouldn't catch the fact that THEY ALL DRIP! 1. THEY ALL DRIP! We have had these for months. 2 people, 4 water bottles, and it is rare that they don't drip when on their side - and possibly it just depends which side it is lying on? One bottle faulty, I could understand (manufacturing fault) - but FOUR?! In four different colors?! 2. The "handles" don't clip. So what is the point? These bottles will hang on a hook, but how many people have hooks to hang their water bottles on? How many people want to carry their bottles by a handle all the time? Maybe once in a while, but, honestly I don't see the point. The last model we had, had a clip on the handle so we could clip them onto things like belt loops and backpack straps for easy access when out and about. These have to go _in_ a bag, where they have to be dug out and therefore we don't access them as often as we should and therefore dehydrate. 3. (Following from 2) It is difficult to attach a clip. A carabiner can slide off the "handle" when unclipping it from the bag strap. Plus, a carabiner won't allow the handle to go flat, which makes it difficult to drink from without taking the catabiner off. 4. The straw design. You'd think it's just a straw. The photo shows it going down the middle of the bottle. Nope. The straw angles *away* from the "sippy" part. The result? When you take a drink with the bottle at an angle (don't most people do this?), you get zero water even though there is plenty in it. You literally have to hold the bottle straight up - or angle it towards you, or drink with the "sippy" on the side opposite your body which is just awkward - just to get the last few ounces out of it! 5. (Following from 4). Even when you try to angle the straw so it will point towards you when you're drinking "normally", as you twist the top back on, the straw (usually) "drags" along the bottom of the water bottle so once the top is screwed on fully, the straw is again pointing away from you.
