Short Review: This juicer is simple and easy to use. If you need a juicer, buy this one. Detailed Review: "What? We've lived in Florida for a year and we don't own a juicer?" This was my husband's lament a few days ago when we decided to go to a local orchard and "u-pick" some oranges. I immediately searched Amazon, found a juicer with good reviews that could also be delivered the same day and ordered it. The next day we picked oranges and tested out the juicer. It is amazing! My two favorite features are: 1.) Pulp Management. I love lots of pulp in my juice so I have it set to wide open. Other members of the family want less so with a simple twist, less pulp makes it to the glass. Even better... I did the low pulp first, and high pulp last to get all the extra pulp from the first glass into mine! 2.) The ability to do that "final spin" to get the last of the juice out of the machine. Put the clear plastic cover on and press down and the thing spins like a jet engine to send all the remaining juice down the spout. (The complaint of it being "too loud" is unfounded in my opinion.) Clean-up is simple and quick. Little more than a flush under running water is needed. I know it can go in the dishwasher, but I'm not sure I will ever clean it that way. We picked and used "Honeybell" Oranges for our juice. It consistently took 1 1/2 oranges to fill the glass (10oz). They were juicy! Of course your variety and size of orange will determine how much juice you will get from each one, but as you can see from the photos, this juicer completely cleaned out the peels. Nothing left behind! You will be able to get every drop of juice available in your fruit. Final Recommendation: Just buy it!

This is my first juicer! I had been using a handheld lemon squeezer for years and recently started drinking lemon water, so I was using the squeezer daily and the lemons these days don't fit into it, or any of the handheld squeezers I've seen in the stores, so I was having to cut my lemons by 4 ways just to have them fit in the squeezer (which you'll see what I'm talking about in the pictures). I decided to look into an electric juicer and didn't want to pay $100 for one, so I came across this and went through the reviews and decided to give it a shot. The very first time I used it, I was so surprised! It was simple, the lemon juice didn't squirt all over the place (like it would with the handheld squeezer) and it got so much more juice out of my lemons. After that first use, I felt like I had been wasting so much of the lemons before because I wasn't really getting all the juice out of them! My kids are now drinking lemon/lime water as their primary drink, so this makes it so easy to get several lemons/limes juiced and use it throughout the week. I have already told a friend how great it works cause they were having the same issue I was with the hand squeezer, but weren't sure if an electric one would be worth it. YES, it's ABSOLUTELY worth it!! The only reason I have used my hand squeezer since was just to get pictures for this review. The pictures are to show how much juice I got out of half a lemon with the hand squeezer (and how the lemon didn't fit) and then how much additional juice I was able to get by using the electric juicer. Each winter, we buy juice oranges from the Rio Grande area of Texas. They are spectacular but a pain to hand juice. This takes care of that problem. I can juice 5 oranges in about 15 minutes or so. Super easy to clean. Tip - Have your fruit at room temp before juicing, then roll it on the counter, pressing down hard on it to release as much juice as possible. Pros - It is really easy to use. Gets more juice out of one fruit than hand juicing. Small enough to sit on my kitchen counter permanently. And it's under $30. Cons - This is not the juicer you want to make smoothies out of kale etc. It is really only for citrus fruits. That doesn't bother me, but might be a negative for someone else. Also, you really need to wash the parts out after each whole orange - the pulp gathers in the parts and will hinder juicing the next one. This is easy enough to do - hot water and a thorough rinsing. They say it is dishwasher safe, but I see no reason to do that - in fact, I would not want soap on it that might leave an off taste. But if you rinse it thoroughly with very hot water immediately after use, it should be fine. Stuff I don't know yet - some of the reviews here said it worked fine for a while and then died. I have only had mine for a week or so and all is good. Will add to this if that happens.

I love this juicer so much. I've bought other brands (all more expensive) but this one is by far the best. I am a lemon-holic, use it 1-2 times a week, and have been since August 2018! Pros: 1. Easy to use, assemble, disassemble 2. Easy to clean (dishwasher safe) 3. Works fast 4. Goes in two directions to get every last out of your citrus 5. Centrifuge squeezes every last drop of juice out of the pulp 6. Compact, lightweight, and easy to store 7. After 3 years, I still find myself saying "I love this juicer" every time I use it Cons: 1. Sometimes it's hard to get the juicer to go in the other direction (a few squeezes down and it finally takes, it's just a little erratic) 2. The stainless steel is a little hard to clean, but I blame the sticky dried citrus pulp, not the juicer 3. Every once in a while, it gets quirky and goes back and forth instead of in one direction (but that's like maybe once every few months, and I use it a lot so that's like once every 30-40 uses) I recommend this juicer very much! I'm sure that sometimes there are defects in manufacturing that I hope the company rectifies (seeing other people's feedback about that). For me, this juicer has far exceeded my expectations! UPDATE August 2022 - I bought this August 2018, and exactly 4 years later it has finally juiced it's last lemon. It sputtered out in a blaze of fuse-breaking glory. I have bought other juicers for travel/other locations, but this has been by far The One. After much deliberation and research on other juicers since the passing of this one, I find myself coming back to it. I really love the centrifuge option where you can squeeze the last of the juice out of the pulp. I'm just not finding anything that comes close to that for such a good price. There's an upgraded version of this with a carafe, but honestly for $10 extra, I am not sure that's worth it.

Before I actually saw a citrus juicer in action on TV, I always thought that they were for lazy people who didn't want to juice their own lemons. I was wrong. I bought this juicer after watching the Barefoot Contessa on the Food Network use it in almost every episode, and now I know why. Let me just lay out the benefits of using an electric citrus juicer as opposed to using a wooden reamer. First of all, if you need to measure out a precise amount of citrus juice for a recipe, it is much easier to put a measuring cup under the plastic snap-up spout of the electric juicer rather than trying to aim into the measuring cup using a wooden reamer. Second, electric juicers get so much more juice out of citrus fruits than a regular lemon squeezer. The Cuisinart citrus juicer automatically switches the direction of the reamer to get the most out of the citrus. Another benefit of electric juicers is the fact that when you are using an electric juicer citrus juice won't squirt into your eyes as does a manual juicer. Also, the Cuisinart features a unique "Final-Spin" feature similar to that in a clothes washing machine. How the final-spin feature works is that once you take the empty citrus off of the reamer, you press the clear plastic lid down onto the juicer which makes the reamer spin really fast and uses centrifugal force to squeeze all the juice out of the remaining pulp. You just can't do that with a wooden reamer. Another benefit of the Cuisinart juicer is that it filters out the pulp. Most if not all electric citrus juicers have this feature, however, most manual juicers don't. Also, with the Cuisinart, every removable part is dishwasher safe which is very convenient for cleaning. I mentioned the snap-up spout earlier in this review but I didn't explain what it was. Basically, the snap-up spout stops the juice from getting on your countertop which is especially useful if you don't want lemon juice all over your counters. The Cuisinart juicer features a stainless steel body which looks very nice and will definitely last a long time. A lot of electric juicers' motors are very loud, but that isn't the case with the Cuisinart. The Cuisinart isn't that loud and won't interrupt normal conversations. Overall, electric citrus juicers offer many benefits over manual juicers, and if you are willing to purchase one I would fully recommend the Cuisinart for it's final spin feature and it's stainless steel body. If you're someone looking for an every day type of heavy duty juicer...I'd skip this review and product and move onto something more expensive. But, if you're like me...lazy and just want some fresh juice every now and then...I highly recommend this product! First of all, you get what you pay for. This is a cheaply made product that most likely will break if you're not careful. Now, I've used this twice in a week's period. I've washed the pladtic removeable items in the dishwasher and have been able to assemble everything back myself. The juicer is small and easy to handle. It's weight is probably that of a casserole dish, light but heavy enough you gotta use both hands. I find assembly easy. However, the cone part and the pulp catcher/grinder part just make sure to snap/twist them together. I thought you could just place them on top of each other and move about your business, but they actually twist together. You'll see what I mean if you purchase it. It still works either way, but sounds a bit off if you don't twist them tight. As for noise, it's no louder than an electric can opener, in my opinion. It's not super quiet, but quiet enough my cat can sit on the counter and stare at me while I'm juicing. It doesn't seem to bother the dogs either. I find it quieter than a blender. But, if you're using this product in an empty room or hallway, you're gonna hear it and it's gonna be loud. But in my normal sized home, it's no different than opening a few cans. I've only juiced oranges, so far, so any other items I can't comment on it's ability to do. I use regular sized oranges and cut them in half, where when you're juicing, the "stem" part is facing the ceiling. Not a lot of pressure has to be used to get it started, however, I find placing both hands (one of top of the other) and pressing down on the fruit works best for me just for more even juicing and stability. I had my 70 year old mother try pressing down to enhance my review status on whether this would work for elderly people. She doesn't have a whole lot of strength in her hands/arms and was able to juice a half of an orange. Now, do I think she would get as much juice out as I would? No. Most likely because I want to get every last pulp thread out and in that juicer. But, I do feel the weight and ease of this machine is workable for those who are elderly and/or don't have a lot of strength in their hands/arms. The best method I've used so far is to kind of move the orange around while it's on the machine. Just a tiny back and forth, side to side motion to get all sides of the fruit. As far as mess, its a cheap juicer so your gonna have some mess to clean up. It definently doesn't splatter everywhere and for the most part stays within the little rim pieces, but you'll get an occasional splash here or there. I also noticed by about the 3rd "half" of orange, the circular rim piece gets a bit full. Thats when I'll take the plastic cover and just place it over and push down to clean up the pulp inside and continue on with my juicing. However, I noticed that depending on the oranges and how much you're actually pulping will determine how full the rim piece gets. All I did was lift everything off, give it a good rinse out and pat it dry real quick so it's not soaking and put it all back on the machine. I let the pulp go down my garbage disposal while it was running because oranges do have acidity and can help clean the disposal of odor causing food leftovers. If you don't have a garbage disposal or don't feel comfortable rinsing pulp down your drains, then a paper towel to remove the pulp is probably more your best bet. It took me 4 whole oranges to juice an 18oz glass. One con I have is that you can only juice with a small cup under the spout/spicket part as it isn't tall so a 12oz glass is about the most you can put under it and will just have to empty it into a bigger glass when done. Also, for about 4 oranges, it's about 10-15 minutes to juice between setup, juicing and cleanup. It's a compact juicer so it's not a heavy duty juicer that I would recommend for an everyday juicer. While the item never got hot physically, I'd think if you're using it everyday, it probably won't last long. But, if you're someone just using it on weekends or for family holiday types of things, this is ideal. It's easy to store with not a lot of misc parts to it. I put it back in the box and in the closet.

Have had for 2+ years and so far it works really well, good quality, durable, a little loud when in use but who cares compared to hand squeezing. Enjoy having for making fresh OJ with orange trees/ no way can eat all the oranges. Takes about 5-6 oranges to make a glass or OJ undiluted & add some pulp into juice. Also does a great job for making fresh Lemon-Aid!!!

Most important. It’s quiet. You can make juice while people sleep. It’s not that loud. A gentle whirl hum. Cleaning is okay. Just take the time to get the hang on how to rinse. Stop. Check. Rinse. So that you don’t miss a spot. The tray is black. It does make it hard to see pulp stuck on. Always wash it right away as soon as you are done making juice. Takes maybe 40-70 seconds. Everything comes apart one handed. And washing it is easy and quick Doesn’t require much strength to operate. Does oranges limes lemons grapefruit and anything else really that’s pulpy and round. You could probably juice Pomegranate too if you tried😆 You do need to scoop out the pulp every so often. Either into your cup or trash. If you’re juicing more than 2 fruits as the tray doesn’t let through all the pulp even on the largest setting. You’ll find the tray collects a lot of juice. You can also use the spin cycle and reduce the juice in the tray before squeezing more if you don’t want to wash a spoon etc. Juice stays cold during squeezing.

This is my second juicer of this kind. The first one I bought 7/8 ish years ago! I juice a lot of lemons so it’s not used everyday, more like once a month. I think it’s super easy to use and easy to clean. Works great for what I need it for.
