- This Spy Pen is exactly the same as our model DSP62 but with the addition of the 4th feature of motion activation. IMPORTANT: When this spy pen is used WITHOUT THE CUSTOM AC ADAPTER in the motion stand-by mode while "waiting" to detect motion activity it is using power. Used in this fashion the expected recording(s) must take place within 70 minutes. Conversely if you utilize the AC Custom Adapter that is included with the purchase the unit now has permanent power and will record at any time activity takes place. Ideally it would be placed in a container with other pens, or place in some other covert hiding place. Refer to the picture samples. Covertly powering the device with the custom AC adapter with a 32GB card installed can achieve up to 17 one hour video files in sequence when used in the video/audio continuous mode. Set in the motion mode with a 32GB card it could last months or a year depending upon the amount of motion activity.
