These are great oil filters. K&N has a quality reputation it's hard to believe that their filters are better priced than brands questionable quality. I've been running these filters on trucks, sports cars, and imports.

the nut on the top is kinda handy but really you shouldnt have these more than like hand tight + quarter turn. oil filter does oil filter things nothing crazy here

This fit perfectly on my 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.4 base. However, i had to order a second because the first appeared to have a scuffed gasket, as if it had been installed and then taken off.

Quality you can count on from a company like K&N. This filter works great on my 2003 Mazda Protegé5, and provides a little more oil capacitance.

I cross-referenced the mfr. oil filter part number to several oil filter models. When I saw K&N listed, I immediately chose them. Why? The company has a great reputation for quality products, the oil filter is Made in USA, and it has a one-inch removal nut welded onto the casing. I then went to their web site and compared filter specs. to the models listed on the cross-reference. Having looked at a few filters at a local auto parts store, I decided that either the HP-1004 or the KN-198 would do the job. Ultimately, I chose the HP-1004. After removing the generic -- blown seal -- piece of pure garbage that a previous owner had purchased, I installed the K&N HP-1004, making sure to tighten to Yanmar specification. (Hand tighten until the filter gasket seats against the mount point and tighten 3/4 to 1-1/4 turn.) When the oil and filter change was completed, I tested for leaks with a test drive. No leaks! I plan on evaluating the K&N KN-198 oil filter at the next filter change. The KN-198 has a 17mm removal nut and a slightly smaller diameter. This will allow more clearance around a few parts on the engine and vehicle frame.

Il est parfait pour ma CRX et fait très bien son boulot. D'après l'état de l'huile après 5000 km à la vidange, oui ce filtre fait très bien ce pour quoi il est fait. Il semble plus large que l'original alors que non, il ne coute pas plus pour autant et mon huile 10w60 est moins noire. Donc oui, je commande encore et encore celui là.
