Happened to see these on sale and ordered 2 of them. We started putting the first one together today.....and it went pretty well. The frame tubing is a little sturdier than my other one and each joint is bolted together - which is think it much better. Is it a bit of a fight to line up the holes at time? Yes it sure is. Also a few of the joints - I had to file inside the pipes to get the metal edges of the holes filed smooth so the other piece could slide in.....no big deal really. The instructions are not really bad either.....However, since I've put these together before I already have a good idea how it worked. I'm not as sure if I hadn't would it have been as easy. The cover also seems a bit better quality than my other one. The one main complaint I have are the bolts. There are 3 different sizes that all come together in a large bag. Two of them are so close to the same size you spend time trying to find the longer ones. I wish they'd come in separate bags to save time. Since this one will be staying up my plans are to put filled sand bags around the bottom for stability and to keep any water out. Part of the inside will be parking for a vehicle with the back part a little storage. The floor will have plastic sheeting on it initially until the grass and anything else can truly die after I spray it. Then I'll add a pallet and plywood floor to the storage part. Overall I have great luck with portable shelters - just make sure and get them tied down tight and the cover on well. I also faced it where most of the wind will hit the side and not the end. I've noticed that all these shelters seem to have more issues if wind hits the end where the parts overlap than the solid sides. The tie down stakes are nice and deep and sturdy. I do tend to add extra ones in the middle as well....just for extra support. This is a nice little shelter. Review: First cover lasted four years of wind, snow and sun, replacement covers are pricey. - I'm finally writing a review after 4 years to report on its long term durability because the cover just finally failed in a severe windstorm (it was not sudden, there have been tears forming slowly on the windward side for a couple months so I knew it was time to replace) Overall pretty impressed for the price! The frame is very sturdy and was pretty easy to set up with just an occasional bit of help from my wife in an afternoon. Fits my old race car nicely and a few extra little things in the 10x15. The basic cover got quite a lot of snow, sun, rain and wind here in the pacific northwest. Anytime we got more than 2 or 3 inches of snow I would brush it all off, but beyond that, it was just left to fend for itself. Four years of pretty harsh weather including sun, rain, wind and snow is impressive. The only reason I'm docking it a point is because the replacement canopies are 2/3 the cost of the whole thing. They should not be that expensive. Half the price of the whole thing? sure. But I'm happy enough with the performance I got to replace it. They do sell beefier, higher quality covers on their own site but they get pretty nightmarishly expensive, $700 to $1500ish. I would honestly buy the beefier cover with how happy I've been with the cheap one, but we're going to have to move for med school this coming year and I don't think I'll need the cover much longer than that. Overall though totally worth the price. It's been sturdy and weatherproof and didn't fail catastrophically. It's lasted in teh desert sun for two years now, strong winds and my idiot neighbor bouncing hundreds of basketballs of the side of it. **Q: How well does it hold up under snow?** A: It will hold up well under snow load when new. As the sun weakens the fabric, not no much. It is advisable to clear roof of shelter when covered with snow or it could melt a little during the day and then freeze at night into a solid piece and be very difficult to remove. If that happens, the next snowfall could overload it. To prevent sun damage, cover the shelter with an additional tarp or tarps. this will prevent UV damage and weakening of the original cover. Get a tarp long enough to sit on the ground when installed. Put sand tubes on the tarp, three to a side. That will keep your tarp in place and help hold down your shelter when it's windy. Anchoring properly is the best thing you can do to prevent wind damage. Use 30-36" long anchors on every leg to be safe. Replace the tarp when it becomes weakened by the sun(several years or more with a heavy duty tarp) and the original cover will remain intact and able to be tensioned properly and used for many years. **Q: Can i buy just the tarp** A: Yes, but you have to search. I own two frames and am on my second skin for one. I find I get two years of full exposure before cloth becomes brittle and tears. Although it's a bit difficult for one person to put together, I managed to do it. Instructions are easy to follow. I like the bottom rails to keep the sides stable. I purchased a more expensive one a few years back with velcro tabs to keep everything connected. It broke within a year. The wind was able to rip the sides up. This product comes with ratchet straps and steel tie down wires with screw in anchors. Inexpensive but looks very durable. I am very satisfied. with this shelter. Cons are: The screws provided are different sizes. But the size differences are minimal. It's almost impossible to tell the difference. The front zippered panel and the rear panel are a bit short. There is a large gap between the bottom and the ground. I'd like to see them touching the ground.
