This product is an authorized manufactured on demand CD-R Review: Can't... stop... listening... - I missed out on My Bloody Valentine when they actually existed. I had a quite the virulent aversion to "wimpy college rock" around that time, and that was basically the only thing I knew about them, that they were a staple of college radio. (I missed out on the Pixies for the same reason.) I couldn't be bothered, I was too busy listening to scary stuff like the Melvins and the Jesus Lizard and Helmet. Now I myself have grown old and wimpy. A friend played Loveless (MBV's final and arguably best album) for me a couple of years ago and I was instantly hooked. I'd heard of shoegazer bands, but I'd never heard the term "dream-pop" until I was reading about MBV recently. I can't imagine that this term could be applied to any group more so than MBV; seemingly endless layers of melodies, harmonies and noise, flowing and cascading and intertwining through the air and into your mind... "dreamy" is definitely le mot juste. Anyway, this CD is a great low-risk introduction to their music. If you like it, you will love Loveless. To established fans, it's an absolute must... an appendix to Loveless. The Tremolo EP is definitely in the same vein, but it's just not as crucial... this is the only EP which contains the song "Glider". Most fans seem to ignore this track, but I simply cannot stop listening to it. It's an unusual instrumental, even for MBV. There are no vocal or drum tracks in the mix, only several tracks of swirling, melting, dreamy guitar and bass. It's the most beautiful sound I've heard in quite some time, and I'd be perfectly happy if it was the only track on the disk and cost 10 times as much. Review: MBV in Their Prime - For fans of My Bloody Valentine, Glider is in many ways a fantastic companion piece to Loveless. These tracks come from the same era as the band's magnum opus, and complement those eleven timeless tracks incredibly well. "Soon", the final track of Loveless appears here, along with three more songs: Glider: An instrumental, layered and exotic. This is not for everybody, but there's a vibe to it. Don't Ask Why: An acoustic, one of my favorite MBV songs, nostalgic and otherworldly. Off Your Face: The loudest song on the album, with some distorted synths that sound like liquid gold. Overall, any MBV fan would be satisfied with this EP. Definitely worth a listen.

A Quick Relaxing EP
My Bloody Valentine are so influential in music and specifrically shoegaze that anything negative doesn't seem right to many. Though with this EP "Glider" much criticism is afoot here. People complain over pricing, short duration, and availability of songs elsewhere. Though this album lacks leangth its wealth in hazey guitar and jingles is more then enough to make up for it. The pricing yes a bit hefty for its four track limitation, but ask anyone who buys singles or EPs to begin with this isn't uncommon to be spending upwards of 10$ for a few tracks. Each track represents an imaginative slice of music, that 'glides' nicely over the surfaces of room filling it with submissiveness. One can't help but enjoy this if they already like the group[s most recognized album "Loveless". "Glider" doesn't exceed a new boundry in the groups catalog, but it does maintain a trademark sound worthy of obtaining even in such a small portion. Plus it's a good short sample of the band, and makes for a good long lasting loop on a playlist. If you like multiple effects, experimentation, artsy stuff, noisy music in general you'll no doubt want to pick this up.

Great for MBV Fans
This EP (like most MBV EPs) was written and released prior to either of their albums. On Glider you can hear the band begin to develop their technique for out of this world "shoegaze" guitar tones, as opposed to a lot of their earlier EPs. If you're already a fan of Isn't Anything and Loveless this would be a good place to go next.

ANYTHING BY 'MY BLOODY VALENTINE' DESERVES A 5 STAR RATING. I AM ENAMORED WITH BELINDA BUTCHERS VOICE.KEVIN SHIELDS : EXCELLENT GUITAR-WORK. AS ALWAYS . TH EALBU WITH 'SOONER IS MY FAV, BUT THIS IS VERY GOOD ALSO.

this matters
this is music for the soul. I think the only artists I would like to talk to would be one of them. I don't understand how they make it sound so Wonderful . Better than drugs. this ep includes SOON , a 90s house anthem by my bloody valentine. I remember hearing soon being played in dance clubs. this song and ep really crossed over . I never tire of their sound. it's like constant emotional drama but nicely Played.classy. So unlike American Counterbparts . If it was up to me, mbv should be rich and sell Millions.

An amazing surprise
I think I bought this on sight back when it came out. It was from Sire, who was putting out great stuff at the time, and I thought the cover was cool. I was totally blown away the instant I heard "Soon." It was really something to try to wrap my brain around that wall of sound and the otherworldly warblings of Kevin and Bilinda. It's been a long time since I ripped that CD out of its old school cardboard case, but I remember hearing it for the first time like it was yesterday. Glider was truly groundbreaking.

This is a fantastic record and should be bought immediately.... If you are just starting down the MBV road and want some starters before you buy an album, then this is it.. If you have the albums and want to start plugging the gaps in your collection, then buy it! Mr Kevin Shields, and Belinda Butcher are just fantastic on a record together.. Her voice is beautiful overlaying Kevins own voice and the swirling, drifting sounds that will lift your soul..

繊細な音と印象的なメロディが心地よい音楽。決して轟音ではないところが好き。
