Decent Junction Box Mounting Solution
There used to be a few generic speaker mounts specifically designed for junction box mounting, but they have all been discontinued for a long time and I was unable to find something similar anywhere. Another reviewer of this product modified it and mounted it directly to his junction box and posted photos of his setup. I won't reproduce his steps here, other than to say that instead of using a plastic blank wall plate, I used a metal one, and instead of driving one of the mounting screws into a block of wood, I just used a machine screw and nut combination for the mounting hole that was not being driven into the slots on the junction box (if you do this, make sure your speaker wire jacket is undamaged/properly insulated to prevent a short if they hit the machine screw. That being said, the method described by the other review would have also worked well, I just didn't have any extra lumber handy. Please note that my satellites are only 3 pounds--although this mount technically has a 10 pound weight limit, I would be very hesitant to mount any speakers heavier than 5 pounds using my method if you have plastic junction boxes (if your boxes are metal and properly secured to a stud, you might be able to use the full 10 pound limit). Overall, I'm very pleased with this hacky setup. Even when used in ceiling-mounted junction boxes, the mounts and speakers are sturdy and aren't going anywhere, and they allowed me to mount the speakers in an unobtrusive way that uses the existing junction box to hide the speaker wire.

Great Value! Performing As Expected.
Perfect! Mounted on the ceiling, in corners. Pretty easy installation, and they solidly hold our Polk ES15 surround sound speakers (identical size [and weight, I think] to ES10's in case that helps anyone) pointing exactly the direction we wanted, which is diagonally down toward the center of the room. These were a great value for the price, and adjusting to get the angles "just right" wasn't too tough. Very happy with our purchase and would buy again.

Inexpensive, solid, and work great
These are super inexpensive and work great. Not the best looking wall mounts I've seen, but they are pretty small so they will likely be hidden behind the speakers while looking directly at them. From the side you can see them though and they look OK. They are metal and very solid. With proper mounting (in a stud, or with the right anchors) they are very solid. There actually is a hole behind the ball mount system where if you have cables thin enough you could have the cables come from the wall through the mount, however I think most people will have cables that are too thick. Just about everything you will need is in the box. They come with the wall plate and two mount options, a stright piece, and an angled one intended for ceiling mounting. They also include screws that would be appropriate for stud mounting, and an allen wrench for adjusting the ball mount. I mounted 5 Anthony Gallo speakers with these, two A'Diva Ti and 3 Nucleus Micros. For my purposes the straight mount worked well, but I could have used a shorter threaded piece. In addition the wing nuts provided to tighten down on the speaker didn't work as the mount point and the speaker terminals are too close together on that speaker. I found a way to make it work, but it would have been nice if some regular nuts had been included also for such a situation, but I can understand why they aren't as that is probably an unusual issue. Once the speakers are installed and mounted they are solid and there are no rattles or vibrations. All in all for the cost there is no question these are probably the best you will find.

Need to mount something small to a ceiling or wall.
Easy to install, looks nice and is well made with no sharp Edges. If your looking to mount small speakers, cameras, or as I my case a router this will fit your needs. It has adapter for some metric threads with the main mounts 1/4”.

These are the mounts you are looking for!
I'm specifically here to let those who own the Boston Acoustics Micro 110x surround speakers that these work! After 4 years being divorced I finally got my system back including a solid Denon receiver. However the ex lost the surround mounts, the power cord for the subwoofer, the remote you name it! Because my speakers have the mounts on the bottom this mount worked perfectly! Screwed right into the mount terminal, tightens up and very versatile. Got the wires run through the attic and ready to go. Waiting on the power cord for the sub but when it comes I am going to have a good old time! The speakers are 3 lbs and these mounts hold strong! One thing other reviewers have stated is that the ball at the end of the arm does get scratched so wait until you mount it to get it properly positioned but I am sure it will hold up to 5 lbs at least if not the specified 10. The hardware stinks as other stated so I grabbed a good set of drywall anchors at the local box store. I have no doubt these mounts will hold for the future. If you have the same speakers this is the mount! Great price, fast shipping and a perfect fit!

Great value, works great,
These VideoSecu mounts were the perfect solution for mounting my MartinLogan Motion 4 bookshelf speakers. My speakers weigh 6lbs each, and these mounts hold them in place with no sagging. You do want to think ahead about how you will tighten the allen bolt once you have the speaker adjusted in the position you want it. A second person to help you will make it easier. It can be very tight getting your hand in the space between the wall and the speaker to tighten the bolt using the supplied allen wrench. A longer allen wrench from the hardware store would make this job easier. My speakers are mounted using standard 25lbs max drywall anchors and black #8 screws. They are not supplied, so you will have to buy these yourself. This combination holds up the 6lb speakers very securely. The default thread size for these mounts is 1/4" 20, exactly what my MartinLogan speakers needed, so I did not need to use the supplied 4mm or 5mm adapters, but it is nice to know that I have them in case I use these mounts with different speakers in the future. I am happy that all the hardware is black or painted black because it blends in very nicely behind the speakers. Other mounts have stainless steel (silver) screws and bolts, which draws attention to the mounting hardware. The all-black hardware that comes with these mounts provide a very clean looking installation. Will be purchasing another pair soon for my MartinLogan Motion 8 center channel, and will also consider these for my rear surround channels later when I add them to my system.

Great for old Bose satellites
Worked perfectly with my very old Bose satellites. Best thing is that it comes with two different variations so you can test out different angles. Also feel well made, and won't break or slip.

These mounts come with a keyhole adapter that probably works better on most keyhole brackets but for mine
They're ok. The mounts ARE holding my speakers. My speakers weigh about 6.5 pounds and have a keyhole bracket. These mounts come with a keyhole adapter that probably works better on most keyhole brackets but for mine, they feel a little sloppy. The mount is equipped with a larger sized threading, probably the 1/4 x 20 thread, and the adapter has two thread sizes. The keyhole adapter consists of two pieces that attach to the other adapter. A nut that goes on first to the larger sized thread(on the adapter) and a special nail head-looking piece that attaches to the end. So, in summary, you have the mount followed by an adapter followed by the keyhole pieces that fit on the adapter. Confused yet? The nail head piece is made up of a larger circle at the cap and a smaller circle on the inside. I'm sure the smaller circle is supposed to slide into most keyhole brackets while the larger circle cap is to hold the speaker. Mine felt sloppy because the smaller circle is too large to slide into the bracket but too small to hold the speaker straight. I fixed this by adding a washer in front of the nut for stability and turning the nail head piece around with the larger circle on the inside and the smaller one on the outside. I hope this helps for those who are looking for the keyhole feature. A few other bits of info: The black paint does tend to come off with the use of tools which you'll probably need and you have to tighten the bracket as much as you can without fear of breaking something. It will make indentations on the plastic ball joint but hopefully you only have to set it once. Setting the angle is probably best done with a friend with better perspective as I went up and down the ladder to adjust the angle until I got them right. (OCD!) Overall, I'm happy with them and feel confident that they're not going to drop my speakers but they do require a little elbow grease.
