The Kokopa Retractable Doughnut Black and Orange (Music Only) Stereo Earbuds with One Touch Retraction and 3.5mm Jack, Eco-Friendly Packaging Review: and now the second is pretty much dead - I received this on June 24, and as of today August 12th, I can no longer use it. One bud had already died (wire cracked within the coating) from the stress of using it, and now the second is pretty much dead. I can get it to work if I hold it just right near the jack, but it's very touchy now. Initially, I loved these. The winding donut works great, and I don't need to fully pull out the cord before re-winding it. Plus, the winding donut stays down near my IPod, so it isn't a weight right in the middle of the cord like the other retractable buds I've used. However, my Ipod is the tiny 1 inch square Nano version that clips, and the donut is bigger than the Ipod and pulls at it, which is why I think the wire pulled apart. It looks intact from the outside, but it clearly isn't connecting right within the plastic coating. My other issue is that there is about 8 inches of cord that is wrapped around the outside of the donut on the Ipod side of it and is only held in place by tiny plastic tabs within the groove on the outside of the donut. I'm not sure why they designed it this way (so you can see an orange stripe on the outside??), but this means that the weight of the donut pulls the cord out from under the tabs, and I have to constantly re-wind it into the groove. I finally put tape around it to hold it in place, which only works for so long until the tape is shredded and looks terrible. Perhaps if my MP3 player were bigger, then I could better use the handy little wrap cord for putting the donut on your belt loop or whatever, then it would have lasted longer, but since my Ipod is so tiny, that is somewhat unfeasible. Either my Ipod or the donut was dangling, and it felt like a dead weight, so I'm sure it put too much stress on the tiny wires. Otherwise, these were great. Nice sound and the winder worked awesome. Maybe once I replace my Ipod to a bigger version that I can assure no dangling weight on the wire, then I might try these again. Review: but the sound quality is very poor. - Mechanism works well, but the sound quality is very poor.

Durable, functional and still working!
Lasted longer than any other pair of earbuds. My daughter was destroying earbuds on a weekly basis. It didn't matter if they were cheap or high quality. This pair with the retractable case has lasted for SIX weeks.
