Worth every penny
Great Coffee! And a money saver. Years ago when medical advice and my wife ‘suggested’ I reduce coffee consumption, I grudgingly went from a couple of pots to a couple of cups. The problem: a good single serving coffee maker. I tried everything, the punching-a-plastic thing, French press, reverse French press, pour over cones and pour over cone with a dispensing thing. All had problems with product and/or clean up. A small coffee maker appears limited to 2-4 cups. When serving is spaced hours apart, not so good on the second cup. The pour overs were expensive, requiring a lot of coffee to get something more than colored water. Enter Bunn - hero of the morning! This unit requires less than half the coffee the pour overs need, makes it at just the right temperature and works just like the commercial units do. Good Morning! It has attachment for ground coffee or loose tea, coffee pods or bag tea, punch a plastic thing and just hot water.

Multiple fatal design flaws $170 disaster - Embarrassing
Worst product purchase I have made on Amazon since being in the Prime pilot program in 2005. I would rate this negative four stars if possible. The attachment for loose coffee grounds separates into pieces when raising or lowering the hinged cover due to a critical failure in the design. A tiny piece of plastic that "snaps" in place is all the holds the lid to the frame. Expect to lose it several times down the garbage disposal before training yourself like a lab rat to just deliberately dislodge it in order not to lose it forever. A new replacement from Bunn? $43.67 for a three dollar piece of plastic. Pathetic. Next, the average to-go mug is 7" tall. However, the available space between the bottom of this coffee maker and the underside of the malfunctioning loose ground attachment is 6.25". That means you will have to simultaneously unsnap and pull out the attachment while also pulling your mug out. Constant spills and hot splashes on the hands daily. Even the standard mug is 4", which means your coffee will drip 2.25" through the air into the cup. This not only creates some splashing, but ensures that your hot brewed coffee is rapidly air-cooled as soon as it drips. One should not have to immediately microwave coffee the instant it finishes brewing. This unbelievably BAD and utterly useless machine is more than a bad product by design, it is a stunning artifact of the decline of American creativity, quality, and competitiveness. It's hard to imagine ways in which this could have been made worse. Even the price was four times more than it should have been. For what, exactly? *UPDATE* This machine began spewing water out through the seam where the plastic grinds container goes and the backsplash. I can no longer brew a cup of coffee without jets of scalding hot water spewing through the seam and making a mess all over my counter top. This problem began just three months after purchase. Customer service at Bunn was ZERO help, and of course Amazon will not accept it as a return. Now I am stuck with a $170 machine that is essentially useless. Retired forever on Friday 1-9-26 after barely 6 months of use, half of that time with the worsening water leak. Not only do I NOT recommend this product, I personally will NEVER purchase another product from this incompetent company again in my life.

All-in-One Coffee Brewer
I had an "early" Bunn My Cafe brewer for paper pods that I liked; but Bunn stopped making that model. I replaced it with a more expensive Senseo, which was both loud and unreliable, absent constant use of descaler-- it failed after 2 years. This model now allows brewing of paper pods, including apparently tea bags and K-pods using individual holders and also brews ground coffee and tea leaves using a third, special holder. So far, I have only tried our paper coffee pods, but brewing cycle is quieter than Senseo and just as fast. The coffee flavor is excellent. Have not yet tried it using ground coffee or K pods, but I would consider those additional options as a "bonus." Seems like an excellent machine for a fair price, considering the options available.

Oops
Oops! Wrong coffee maker sent and I have to drive to return or be charged twice for the more expensive product. Someone isn’t paying attention to customer service. As far as the MCU single cup goes, this was to be a replacement for one that lasted 2 years before it started failing to turn off automatically. I thought that was pretty good for the amount of coffee I drink with my family and friends. The coffee flavor is very good and the ease of changing between kcups, pods, teabags, etc. is a feature worth the cost alone. My old one is a little loud and sputters some, but maybe the 2 years smoothed out some edges. Sure hope the next box isn’t a negative surprise!

Nice! Love the options.
I have had a similar one for many years and it just lately started having some issues so I decided to order the same one. This one does not come with the drain and cover that was on the old one - says optional - not sure why. Luckily, I was able to use the one from my old unit. It fits pretty well - thank goodness. I did have one issue early on, but so far it has not happened since. Luckily I keep a cup in the coffee maker all the time. All of a sudden, it started running when nothing had been pressed and I am glad I had the cup there to catch it. Maybe be careful not to leave it without a cup there!

Best single serve hot drink machine around.
I bought my first My Cafe about 10 years ago. It has not been problem free but it has been making good coffee. Unfortunately it has died. Looking around I found that it is still the best coffee maker of this type available so I bought another one. I was hoping that the intervening 10 years had resulted in some product improvements that might have fixed some of the little shortcomings of the original. To my dismay, the replacement it almost identical. No obvious changes and no improvements. 1. Whilst 14oz is more than many other single serve units can manage it is not enough to fill the average travel mug. 2. If the tank temperature has dropped, mainly because it has beeen standing for some time and it enters power saving mode, when you press the brew button it just flashes. You have to wait for the tank to heat up again and then press the button again. It should accept the command and start brewing automatically when the desired temperature is reached. 3. The coffee draw has a very fine mesh filter and does make very good coffee but it often fails to clear all the liquid at the end of dispensing. A weak air pump is probably the problem here. 4. The lid on the coffee drawer has a clip which comes out easily when you clean the drawer. It is very frustrating to have to fish through the compost to find the little black clip. 5. With the pod drawer in place you cannot easily fit a regular coffee mug under it without tipping it to get under the pod. When placing a mug on the stand it is not a problem but if you brew a full cup you cannot easily get is off again without spilling some. 6. The drip tray and plate is an option now. It is pretty essential and I do not understand the thought process behind making this an optional extra. You will forget to put the cup under or just spill some liquid getting the cup out and with no drip tray it will make a mess. None of these things are real show stoppers and this is still the best single serve drink maker available but I really was hoping that some of them would have been fixed by now.

This product is under rated and not published. OMG what a find.
This is my opinion only and this is what they are asking in this review. I love my coffee and don't always want to make a full pot to have one cup of coffee. This is why I have always had a single-serve unit. I started with a Keurig, change over to a ninja, back to a Keurig, and noticed that the coffee makers are not as well made as they were when I started using them. My full pot coffee maker is a Bunn and I love my Bunn. When my Keurig broke down again my husband and I decided we would not buy another. We started researching Bunn for a single-serve unit. Nothing came up on Amazon so we went to the website and glory to be told they had a unit. After researching the product and all the high-quality features we bought the BUNN MCU My Cafe Single Cup Multi-Use Coffee Brewer. I am so impressed with this machine. The coffee comes out hot every time, you can adjust your taste, easy to use and cleaning is a snap. When it arrived we notice right off the high-quality craftsmanship. I love this machine and wanted to let everyone know, that you can find a high-quality single-cup café that will stand up to everyday use and one easy step to clean. If you are an adamant coffee or tea drinker this is the machine for you Thank you Bunn!!!!!

on a DOWNWARD trend
Let me start by being fair. This should be a three star review, but I gave it to star because of its comparison to previous (identical) models. I have now had this unit for about a year and, although it is acceptable, it has its problems. this unit replaced an identical one that lasted about five years. A disappointing thing I learned from the start was that this newer version did not come with an overflow tray like the old one did. The tray is now considered “optional” and available as an additional purchase ($40 or so) from the manufacturer. Another problem is that several of the components are now plastic instead of metal as they were in my old maker. Finally, my last complaint has to do with a large amount of leaking from the unit. The leaking comes from where the water enters the “pod tray” to then pass through the coffee grounds. The leaking water does spill out and into the coffee cup below; however, this obviously dilute the coffee to some extent. This problem occurred slightly on the previous model but is MUCH worse with this one. The good thing I can say about this model is device is that, like my original model, it is simple and easy to use.

Worth the money, hoping it’s still as reliable as it used to be
I had this exactly brand and model before and it was perfect and lasted me 8 years… I absolutely loved it. I wanted to buy the same brand again but since finances were very tight, I thought I would try a much cheaper brand, and that was a huge mistake (it was cheap for a reason… it was very flimsy and lightweight and way too slow). I was missing my Bunn coffee maker too much, and how quick it was, so had to buy the same model again. I noticed it didn’t come with the drip tray cover this time, but I’m hoping to find my old cover if I kept it somewhere. Only disappointing thing with my new one is that once or twice it dripped in an odd way where a part of it poured into the cup but a part of it poured outside of the cup so I had to clean up the coffee that spilled onto the counter. And had to make another cup and use another pod, because there wasn’t much coffee left in my cup. Never had this happen with my previous Bunn coffee maker the 8 years I had it. I find myself watching it cautiously now every time but it hasn’t happened again and I hope it doesn’t have any other issues moving forward. And hopefully it lasts at least as long as the previous one did.

2nd one
This is a fantastic single use coffee maker. I have used my first one for over 10 years. Only reason I bought new one is because the brew your own blend attachment has failed. I have made several cups of coffee every day for over 10 years. I also use it several times a day for hot water. Perfect temperature for herbal teas or just when I need a hot but not boiling bit of water. I live with hard water so I descale about every 3 months with just white vinegar. When I first purchased came with only one attachment now it comes with additional 3 for the same price. I strongly recommend this coffee maker.

Great coffee maker that is easy to use and brews the same cup every time in seconds.
we have had one of these for a few years now.Read somewhere that Bunn might discontinue them,so I ordered one right away and stored it away. They are a great long lasting unit.
