Shoulder Trigger Button Left Right Flex Cable for Nintendo NEW 3DS New 3DS XL LL (2015 Version) Repair Part L/R Ribbon

This "Shoulder Trigger Button Left Right Flex Cable for Nintendo NEW 3DS New 3DS XL LL (2015 Version) Repair Part L/R Ribbon" was a perfect fit on my daughter's "New 3DS XL" portable Nintendo gaming system. I don't think they would work for other models, but if you have the New 3DS XL, this is the replacement you need. At $7, it was a very affordable way to recover the function of the two shoulder buttons, which had stopped working. Installation was not extremely difficult, but not easy either. You will need to be very patient and have properly sized tools, as the screws that hold the 3DS case together are extremely small and extremely easy to strip out. In fact, I had to drill out two that did strip, but managed to get the rest out. Then, on reassembly, I used a very modest dab of super glue in the two areas that had stripped screws. Also, the button cables are delicate and tiny, and thus, you will need small, dexterous fingers or else a good tweezers to handle/maneuver the pieces during reassembly. Watch a few videos online to get the general idea, and if you're reasonably handy, you can probably pull it off. I did, and the results were great... the 3DS is now as good as new.

If you're comfortable opening up the body of your New Nintendo 3DS XL, these components are perfect replacements for the original internal button cables/sensors. No soldering is involved, but it's fairly delicate work; you'll still want to be very careful not to damage anything. The part is inexpensive, but replacing the rest of the console at this point would not be.

This is the second time I've had to replace my buttons and the second time I've been disappointed in the tactility of the buttons. On their own they feel fine but in the device I can barely tell when they get activated.

This is a perfect replacement for the L/ZL/R/ZR switches in the N3DS XL. Pretty easy to install (no solder). Fixed the problem for me. I think I will probably need to do this replacement again in the future as these tiny switches can only last for so long before they wear out, so I hope they keep plenty of supplies on hand for years to come. Be careful not to lose the original 2 screws, plastic frame, or spring on each side (or the button caps of course).

The male socket on one of the shoulder buttons was poorly made and broke right off in the female socket on my 3DS' ABXY daughterboard. I didn't do anything wrong, I'm positive. The piece fit poorly in the socket to begin with, even when I was positive I'd lined it up correctly. Overall very disappointed with the quality.

Was a bit skeptical but I really wanted to fix the right trigger button for my 3DS. So I went ahead and bought these. It now works just as new. 10/10 would buy again.

Honestly the best replacement parts you can find on amazon. Even though these aren’t genuine Nintendo parts these work like a charm and fit perfectly
