Outstanding
These sound beautiful. Our seven-month-old was able to figure out how to play them and enjoys it very much. Definitely worth the price: I compared this with a Kiwico xylophone at $55, but the Kiwico sounded harsh and grating and we didn't want it in our house. This one we actually enjoy. You could use it on a record as a real instrument. . I hope this company makes more toy instruments that sound great. The build quality is outstanding, with a beautifully finished and sturdy wood stand. The mechanism itself has some play in it and I think it's *probably* going to be durable over the long haul, but not totally confident. I like that the tonic is in the middle and there are notes both above and below it; this is much better than the obvious approach of having the tonic as the lowest note. The stand is very low to the ground, so it only works on hard floors and relatively low-pile carpets. If you place it on, say, a picnic blanket, the blanket will mute the bells. The tradeoff is that the stand is stable when the baby leans on it.

Great Toy: Highly recommend.
Wonderful substitution for a xylophone. I bought this for my 7 month old figuring she would figure out how to use it around her one year old birthday. Well running out of options to try to entertain her, every two weeks or so I would take it out and give it a try: she would just try to pull off the knobs: at 8.5 months she has now figured out how to pat the bells and make the sound. I think its great. The wood is solid, the bells are nice and heavy and its just overall a quality piece. I know she will use this for years, and so I don't regret the price one bit. I wish I could find more toys like this. My only negative is It comes with a song book that only has a few songs in it. The rest of the book is to write your own songs and comes with stickers to do so. I wish it had a few more songs in there to play but oh well.

Love the product but would have given it 5 stars if the song book included would have more than 3 music sheets
