I have been using this filter for long time and gives you filtered drinking water right from the tap water.

my apartment had the worsted tap water I ever tasted, part mold, part chlorine, part I don't even want to know. I have used a number of pitchers and faucet mounted filters and this one isn't as good as some. That said I never started with tap water this bad. It should be noted that ever time I fill up the water pitcher the better the water taste. In the end the water in the fridge right now tastes fine.. I am very happy with the product, it isn't the biggest and may not be the best, but the long filter life is a great value to me. I might get a second one because I am drinking a lot of water now.

Use this for our drinking water as we have a well. Have used it for years with no problems, just replace the cartridge each year or so. Inexpensive and gets good reports from Consumer Reports.

My local water is not known for great taste. This fixes it. I used a filter for a whole year for one person and it still tasted brand new. I simply changed just in case.

Good filter, the original lasted about 9 months with daily use by 3 people. I just got a new one last week and I did notice that the filter design has changed but so far its working great. With any water filter its best to rinse in cold water and soak for 15-30 minutes to get the excess carbon out.

I purchased this pitcher a couple years ago and am pleased with it. It's not the biggest pitcher, but there are only 2 of us, so it's usually not a problem. Filter lasts long, which is what attracted me to the Crystal Quest in the first place. I replace filter every 6 months. Occasionally the filter stops processing water (s-l-o-w), but I just pop the filter out and shake it for a few seconds. That usually does the trick.....
