Use The Best!
The best grease to use for assembly when metal interfaces with metal. Threads and shafts. This tiny container was bought years ago and I still have 3/4 of the container.

This is "the good stuff"
If you either do, or plan to swap just one or a dozen barrels or muzzle devices this is a MUST have. And considering I've assembled at least ten uppers and swapped countless flash riders, muzzle brakes, compensators, and suppressor mounts and have used maybe half of the container, its just pennies per application. A dab on your finger tip at the beginning of the threads, two 180 degrees apart, thread the barrel nut/muzzle device on and off 3 times to ensure that you get a thin film on all threads, and your good to go! No more hot seizure, corrosion, alloy reaction....gone!

The AeroShell 33MS / 64 Gun Grease .5oz is perfect for my AR-15 builds, keeping barrel nut and receiver threads smooth and corrosion-free. A little dab goes a long way, but it’s pricey for such a small jar.

Gun grease that works
Works great for lubing gun parts before installation that way they dont get seized up on you. I use this stuff for most of my threaded parts.
