I debated on giving this a two or three star rating, but as I will not be buying this brand again, figured a 2 star was probably more appropriate to my experience. I got this to help with migraines and neck soreness and while it did provide more relief than traditional epsom salts, these magnesium flakes left a gross brown sticky goop in the water when they dissolved. It seems to have gotten worse as I have gotten to the bottom of the bag. I’ve used magnesium flakes before, and didn’t have this issue. Once I realized that the goop was coming from the flakes, I was able to see it being left behind in the water as it dissolved. I haven’t noticed an odor or anything with the goop, but it’s very stick and hard to clean off. Before I figured out what was going on, it would be left on my leg even after scrubbing it with soap and a loofa after soaking. I got it on my hands prior to writing this review and washing with soap and water wasn’t enough to get the stickiness all the way off. If this doesn’t bother you, the product does seem to do what it says on the tin, but I’ll be trying a different brand that doesn’t leave a mess.

Pictures of the brown residue are accurate. Kinda gross. Doesn’t happen with other brands. I’m wondering if something has changed with their ingredients. I had purchased this years ago and never noticed the issue. But when I noticed it with this batch that I bought within the last few weeks I came back here to see if others experienced the same thing. And looks like it’s common. Any relaxation benefits is negated by the fact I have to scrub my tub of this gunk afterwards. Look elsewhere.

Excited to have magnesium flakes over epsom salt, but the natural scents in this package continue to stain my bathtub. I have used other brands before - Ancient Minerals, Dead Sea, Kneipp - and never had an issue. I'm happy with their unscented version, but this one is more headache than it's worth.

This contains some resin-like substance that sticks to the bathtub and is impossible to clean. It’s disgusting and I cannot believe they would sell a product that does this. Now my bathtub has stains that look like diarrhea splatter and even Clorox won’t remove it.

Worst Bath Product Ever. You will never clean it off your body or tub. It’s worse than superglue. I can’t get it off my fingers or my tub. Don’t buy it you will be sorry.

These are the worst!! Unfortunately the relaxing bath was then followed by a 45 minute tub scrubbing workout and another 15 minute shower in which I still can’t get all of the glue-like substance off of my skin.

The stcky residue is unpleasant. I dissolved it first in a cup of hot water to try to save some cleanup.

I mix water and Igual part of these flakes in a spray bottle and spray it under the foot soles, for a deeper sleep . It can also be used on areas where there is muscle tension .This mix can also be used as a deodorant!

Really good quality product to help ease muscle tension.
