Can you use this to extend screen from laptop to 2 external monitors?

It all depends if the USB C port in your laptop carries video with it. I have two computers and one of them carries video via USB C but the other one does not.

Does this send power via usb c as well if power is plugged into the adapter?

I did a test and it does not seem to send power, only video. I did a test connecting it to a portable 16 inch monitor and it did not power on the monitor, I had to connect the power adapter for the monitor. (That was with the power connected to the HDMI to USB C adapter, using a 5v 2amp power block). On the other hand if I connect the monitor to a computer (Mac or Windows) via USB C it sends video and power. Hope that helps.

Is the output using displayport alt mode ?

I don't know because I only use HDMI
