Works great! Fine mist protected my artwork (pastel pencils)

I been using this stuff for the past few weeks now and so far its performing better then the regular krylon workable fixative. With the krylon workable fixative, each time i used it i kept either getting a dusty gray layer on top that would just wipe off and the drawing would not be fixed to the paper which took way too many coats to do or too much fixative would end up the paper not allowing me to draw on top of it anymore. The gallery series fixative doesn't have either of those problems for me. Takes very little layers to fix it to the paper and that when using thin/light coats. Though i would say, the workable part of this, you should be careful because if you spray too much it will turn into a final fixative. You probably wont get many more drawing layers down with this also unlike a regular workable fixative. i would say maybe two or three layers of drawing. If you need a lot of workable layers then you may want to play it safe and use a plain workable fixative. the directions say: for a workable fixative, apply VERY light coats for a workable protection for a final fixative, apply just a several light coats for a final protections

I won't lie, I work with pastels, and I hate sanded papers. So I blend a lot. This fixative allows me to layer with ease. Fixative make the colors darker, so I just adjust for this. This Fixative doesn't darken the colors too badly. It really is smudgeproof

I'm so pleased with this product! (the 1374 Fine Art Fixatif) I use pan pastels in my sketchbook and the pastels transfer/smudge on the facing pages when the sketchbook is closed. A few coats of the fixatif solved the problem - it's dry and not tacky, dries smooth, and leaves only the slightest satin finish, and isn't heavy.

I needed something that would prevent my pastel drawing from smudging after being adheres to a canvas. This works! If the piece is sprayed correctly, it prevents the pastel color from being removed. The only downside is that the smell is STRONG. Definitely spray your artwork OUTSIDE. If you don’t, the smell lingers inside and can give you a serious headache!
