With the 4 person kit, is there 2 back packs ?

Thank you for your inquiry. The 4 Person Kit does come with 2 backpacks, and the 2 Person Kit will come with one backpack.

Does come with a tent??????

No, it does not come with a tent.

what is the shelf life of a pack like this?

Thank you for your inquiry. Typically survival kits will have a shelf life between 3-5 years mainly depending on the food and water. We use SOS brand food and water which has a shelf life of 5 years. If your kit has not been used after five years, we do sell food and water refill sets which can be found here https://www.emergencyzone.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=1878

Are the items split evenly within the 2 bags?

Thank you for your inquiry. The bags are not packed exactly the same. In the interest of keeping the kit as condensed and compact as possible, there are some items for which there is only one unit with the expectation that they are to be shared among the party of 4. If you would like 2 identical bags we would recommend purchasing two 2 person kits.

Handy survival backpack

Hope to never need it but great item to have in the house for emergencies. The bag is well made, not flimsy, zippers are strong. It was on discount when I bought so I was happy about that. It’s not jam packed so there’s space to put any extra stuff. When you get it make sure you check it so you know what’s in it and what you need to add to it such as extra toilet paper. There’s only one roll.
