Could this be tapped into an existing monitor system to act as a secondary monitor panel?

If you use the same sensors it will give you the same reading. If a sensor goes out, both systems will give you a false reading. If you want a secondary monitor get 4 more sensors then you would have a good secondary system.

all tanks are showing whatever the fresh water tank is reading. Might replacing this monitor fix that problem?

Im confused. Does this come with the sensors to put onto/ into the tank? Or do i have to buy those separate?

It does not come with the sensors. It has the standard hook-ups that snap onto the sensor ends. My tank came with the sensors in it.

what sensors work best with this ?

Kib manufacturers the sensor packs. The probes aren’t super important.
