Q: Is this bag suitable to carry a portable oxygen machine that weighs about eight pounds?

It is sturdy but I would not recommend as it is a mesh material and can easily tear apart. I use it for the gym and beach - wet towels, swimsuit, etc.

No there is not. That would have been very handy for a water bottle or a cell phone. Otherwise I'm enjoying it. Comfortable and durable. Right in the Texas heat!

Not sure / you may want to check the size of both. That is usually where the price difference comes in.
