Cutest teapot ever!
With so many teapots to choose from, it was a daunting decision to choose just one. When I found this one, I knew it was the one for me. It’s not overly large if you want to have numerous cups a day. I only drink probably 2 at the most, and usually alternate between coffee one day, and the next day I have tea. So it really was the perfect size. The color is just as shown in the picture. I purchased the white one, and to me it has a very sleek appearance. It would go with any decor in my opinion. Due to its solid milky-white color, other than the spout, lid topper, and handle, which is light wood, it really stands out on my black oven. I keep it on my stove as part of my décor, and it’s as cute as can be. The handle was not too hot to touch, and the water heated up quite quickly. It seems sturdy and easy to clean. I just used dish soap and a cloth. I did not want to take a chance and use a harsh cleanser. I will give a little hint that helped me. As someone who dislikes cleaning up spills all the time, I put it on the burner and faced it toward the middle of the stove. That way when it starts whistling and it was ready to pour, it didn’t spill over to a cabinet. The spout pours nicely, and makes a wonderful cup of tea. Now that I have learned how to “make a proper cup of English tea”, I purchased a box of Yorkshire black tea. I didn’t have any milk, so I used one of my coffee creamers, and it was delicious. I have already purchased a tea cosy to keep the water hot between cups. Haven’t received it yet, but it’s darling. I highly recommend this teapot if this sounds like something that would work for you. (Pics. and a short video of it whistling)

Safety and Quality Concerns, But Great Customer Service
ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW UPDATE: I amended my review from three stars to four stars because of the excellent customer service. Once I posted my original review, the company reached out to me in a matter of hours to offer a refund and apologize for the issues I had. I’m really impressed by their integrity and believe it sounds like they want to improve the product itself. ORIGINAL REVIEW: It’s a nice-looking kettle and I settled on this one due to reviews (and comparing them to those of other items). One of the things I was concerned about was the handle design, as I assumed that when it’s needed to tilt it to get the last bit of water out, it looked like the burning-hot kettle could sway and hurt your hand. None of the reviews mentioned this so I hoped the handle really stayed in the upright position. It did…for the first few uses. Now I have to be very careful to not tilt the kettle too much when pouring since it’ll start to swing towards your hand. This isn’t only an inconvenience when I happen to want all (or nearly all) the water, but also a safety issue. That’s why I took off one star. I took off another star because after one or two uses, I noticed the coating on the handle had bubbled, which I’ve never experienced before in a kettle and definitely seems to be a quality issue, hence why I took off another star. I still gave three stars because it serves its purpose well and the whistle is ok (not the best, not the worst). If you really love the look of this one and don’t care about the handle bubbling or getting the last bit of water, then it’s not a bad choice.

Works great and is cute
This tea pot is not huge but it's just the right size for 1 or 2 people. I like the features such as the wood handle, so it stays cool, and the whistle spout, which pours great. The color is beautiful being a cheery sunflower yellow. It's the best value for the money I found for a tea pot.

Perfect little teapot!
I absolutely love this little teapot. It's truly perfect! It's very smartly designed, such that it heats quickly, pours easily and slowly without any danger of burning, and is very comfortable in the hand. The wood touches on the handle and spout cover are both attractive and functional. Emits a nice whistle when hot, and looks great too.

Very nice well made.
I am very impressed on how well made and sturdy this little tea kettle is. I was reluctant to buy it on line without physically touching it, but I made a good choice. Just a quick follow up - I've used this kettle a few times now for both making tea and oatmeal. I clean it dry inside after each use and admire how nice and sturdy it is made. However, I did notice along the bottom, where the yellow paint meets the bottom stainless-steel ring, that the paint could begin to start to peel. As it was cleaning the kettle, I put my fingernail along the bottom in that area and I could see little signs of peeling. It's not noticeable unless you look at it very closely. So, I'll not play with that "ring area" anymore and hope that it doesn't start to peel. But otherwise, and as I stated before, this kettle is made very well compared to other similar kettles I have seen in my local shopping mall, and there are no dents or other imperfections. I am very happy with my purchase. And I know not to allow the flame to extend onto the painted area. Actually, I use the smaller burner on my stove when heating the water, and all four times so far, I shut it off, just before it starts to whistle.

Love this new white whistle kettle. The lid is a tight fit on the top, and you may have to tug on it somewhat to get the lid off - but that is good thing - and the reason why it is a good thing is that with the lid being a tight fit, the lid stays on the kettle when pouring the boiling water. Make sure the lid is put back on the kettle and pushed down hard to make sure the lid is a tight fit before boiling the water. This kettle is a 2.7 qt / 86 oz size. Perfect for me - not to small and not too big. A bigger size would be ideal maybe for a family or for more than two people wanting the water from it at the same time - but that is personal preference for the quart size. The whistle spout part - you can manually push it down onto the spout for it to whistle or leave it up for no whistle; if you want no whistle you must keep checking it to make sure the kettle does not boil dry. That can damage the inside of the kettle if it boils dry and could cause toxic smoke or a fire. Again, it is personal preference whether the whistle spout part is down or up. Also love this retro style with this kettle. Love the curved metal handle as well. The lid top knob is wood I think and the handle is wood I believe on this new kettle. And the base on this kettle is universal for most stove top types. Never put it in the oven or in a microwave. Keep this kettle as dry as possible when not in use to help prevent rust or other damage. I make sure all water is out of it and then wipe it dry especially the inside of it with a dry towel or paper towel. I do this before going to bed at night and I gently put it upside down with the lid beside it on top of my stove to make sure it dries thoroughly overnight; this includes the lid as well. Overall, I am pleased with this retro style kettle.
