The Bondo® Metal Reinforced Filler is a water proof filler, however when using a filler to fill in holes, a phenomenon known as “Ghosting” can appear days later after the repair is completed showing the outline of the hole creating a undesirable visual appearance. This is due to the expansion and contraction of the different material at different rates. The proper repair procedure would be to completely weld them shut to prevent this from happening.
