Effortless technology
I used this to connect to my Yamaha THR30IIW Amp and it works out of the box without any complicated set up or unnecessary faffing around. This is how this type of technology should work. It's designed to replace a physical cable so it should act like one. Simply plug in and forget and that's how it worked. There is a BUT though but it's a positive one. If so needs be for the tech literate you should be able to look under the hood and configure it if necessary and that's what I love about this. It worked straight out of the box as if I was simply plugging in a cable to my guitar however in my situation it just so happens that my Amp usually sits right next to my Wi-Fi Router. They warn you that it should be a suitable distance from Wi-Fi routers, Bluetooth transmitters etc. any thing that can interfere with the signal. I did in fact get interference in the form of dropouts. This is where the BUT comes in. I was able to select a manual channel for the device rather than let it choose it's own and once I did that it didn't conflict with the Wi-Fi channel of the router and it works perfectly even though it's sitting right next to a Wi-Fi router which is explicitly not recommended. When it was a suitable distance from the Wi-Fi router it worked perfectly out of the box with zero configuration as intended.

Works with Yamaha THR wireless
I love not being tethered, but the battery life is not quite as good as I’d like. I also love that it charges by plugging into the amp, but the flip side is I can’t charge whilst playing tethered.

Great, until it no longer charges up.
I've had mine 5 moths and now, like so many others, it will not charge up. Line 6 are garbage.

NICE!
Purchased this to go with my Spider amp and really chuffed! Takes a little too long ( in my opinion) to charge but maybe the amp is not pushing enough amps - overall really pleased with this.

I ordered a g10s from Japan that had a transmitter that wouldn't hold charge, after talking with the customer support I was told to take it to Line 6's Canadian distributor yamaha. Instead of footing an expensive bill or repair due to not being covered by the warranty and having to go through all the effort of shipping. I ordered a gt10tii from solo guitars, which arrived sooner than expected! Overall I'm happy with what I got, it's been working for weeks now without issue and as a plus it works much better with active basses than the previous model. My main gripe with the original transmitter was that it took about a minute with repeated attempts at plugging and unplugging the transmitter to get it to connect. With the g10tii it connects instantly with longer battery life! If any warranty covered person has issues with the transmitter, find a way to get line 6 to hook you up with this new model, you won't regret it.
