Weathers Well, Fewer Combinations Than You Might Think
I bought two of these for our gates and we've had these now for half a year. I love that the mechanisms work smoothly after some weathering. Appearance stays clean. They don't require batteries. A couple of things to keep in mind: (1) The lock is mechanical, so you are selecting numbers not in any particular order, so the number of combinations is very low. This is minimal security, not designed to stop a professional. Second, when cutting the hole for a gate, keep in mind that the gate will sag over time, so best to bias the hole upward. I've had to adjust the gate hinge screw holes to offset the sag, but it seems to have settled now.

Made modifications.....
Thanks to our current society with lurking vagrants (thanks politicians!) I purchased two for my two alley gates. Installation went well. My width was 2 ¼ inches and the hardware provided worked great. Really like the idea of the mechanical operation and no batteries to worry about. One of the mechanisms did not work! Rather than return it, I dug into it and found that one of the locking cams was installed backwards. I did make my own “Latch Buckles” out of aluminum because the ones provided just seem too wimpy. This is no Fort Knox lock, but they should help deter the continual California tramps looking for crime.

Great for exterior gates! no batteries needed
This was a great option for my city-property gates. Because of the way my gates were built, I had to have a carpenter do some cutting out of the back-stop and shimming to get them installed and aligned properly. They work great. I left the presser bar latch on the gates, so you have to also release that after turning the latch. The latch does not spring close, so you can do one, then the other and open the gate with one hand. You can flip-close the latch from either side and once you do that it re-sets the need to enter the code. When the latch is open it will stay open if you want to keep it unlocked also. My tenants and gardener love these easy-access, easy-to-flip latches because they are reliable and don't need electricity/batteries or key for a pin-coded gate system. For them, it's security that's no-hassle. We've been using them for about 6 months now, through cold, rain, etc. They feel very sturdy and the bolt/throw looks like steel, so I don't expect it to rust.

interesting design
interesting design, good heavy metal, sturdy. The locks is straight mechanical so it doesn't matter what order you put the code in (backward works just as well) the lock opens, (just one time) and it does have a clear code function so it's a pretty simple lock, suitable for backyard/pool security, no batteries and that's a plus. EDIT It didn't last 1 year so down to 1 star, It fell apart inside and wouldn't open from the outside (eg it wouldn't turn far enough to slide the bolt) the inside knob was ok, something bent or broken in the mechanism.

Works great
I have horse doors on my barn with latches on the inside. Realized if I lost power I had no way in. Put this on one door and it works perfectly and with a code I can get in without opening the overhead door.

Good and bad
I ordered two of these to provide tenants with access to gated outdoor space with an old iton gate. By the time my iron guy got around to installing a new plate for this lock, the return window was closed. I was not able to set my preferred combination on one of the two because that number malfunctioned. You can only use each number once, and the order doesn't matter, so there really are very few "combinations" since 1234 is the same as 4321. My handyman could not figure out how to make the lock work once installed. I'm hoping I can get someone to resolve this. Very frustrating.

Box completely taped up, instructions poor, parts missing
On the web, it looks like just what I wanted - a keypad gate door lock that wouldn't require either power or a key. Unfortunately, the unit sent me was accompanied with poor instructions with product sketches that didn't match the product sent me, was missing some parts and had no instructions anywhere how to contact the manufacturer to get the missing parts. Instead of a short Sunday afternoon project, this would take much longer to complete, including hassle of obtaining missing parts. Will return.

Great lock, simple to install and sturdy
We got this lock after some confusion with a new fence, and inability to install a deadbolt. Anyway, overall installation is pretty simple - 3 holes and some screws, thats it and you have a secure gate lock, with a keypad entry. Looks great, would recommend.

Utile

Looks and feels top quality
This it is bang on the money for what I was looking for. I wanted something to add additional security to my garden gate without going too fort knox. This has been standing up to the awful weather really well so far, and looks really good. It is easy to use, responsive and feel like a quality product. I was quite expensive you you can feel from the weight of it that is is going to be really strong and difficult to get past. Fitting is a bit of a pain and if you are not used to this type of thing, plan it out well before you start, to make sure it works well for you.

Cellar security
Easy to install and works perfectly. You do need to put code in to lock door but much easier than the padlock we were using before
