Will this camera connect directly to a tv using either a usb or hdmi cable and no additional software?

Thanks for the question! Yes, you can connect the VZ-R directly to a TV using an HDMI cable. Do note that the VZ-R is powered by USB, so you would also need to connect it to a power source using the included USB cable. The power source can be a wall outlet or a computer.

In short, 2 cables are involved when using the VZ-R in HDMI mode: a HDMI cable that connects the VZ-R to a TV, and a USB cable (included  in the package) that connects the VZ-R to a power source.

It stopped connececting to my computer. How do I fix this?

I have not encountered this.  Try reinstalling the IPEVO software. Make sure you are in USB mode and not camera mode if you are using the document camera.

Does this projector work well for a classroom setting? And what is the best option for what to connect it to (tv, projector, etc)?

Thanks for the question! Yes, VZ-X works great for classroom teaching. You can connect VZ-X to any projectors, TVs and monitors that support HDMI connection.

In regard to the option we recommend, it really depends on how your classroom is setup. If you have a projector in place, just connect VZ-X directly to it via HDMI and then you can project live images instantly on the projection screen. This is particular useful if you're sharing a student's work to the rest of the class.

Does this work with any brand of chromebook?  for sharing to google meets and in-class demonstrations.

For Chromebooks that are equipped with a USB-C port, we suggest using a USB-C to USB-A adapter to connect the camera.
