Review: Addictive and delicious - I really loved these. I wish they came in a larger sized package, but this single serving size is probably for the betterment of my waistline! Review: Taste - These are awful. Tiny pieces in bag. Taste is bland with an off taste. I hate I wasted my money but thatโs how you find out.

Good for topping soup/salads; there's better options for snacking, though, IMHO.
I was introduced to chicken skin crisps (Pollo Chicharrons) with a different brand that is 'more expensive' (we'll delve deeper into that at the bottom of this review) & was looking for alternate options when I found this & the price worked with my available funding at the time. I have bought this 4 pack twice, so a total of 8 bags & my experience has been consistent with all 8 bags. It arrived well packaged (both shipments). Upon opening the first bag, there was an unpleasant smell, reminding me of grease that's gone slightly off (aka starting to go rancid). When putting my nose to a chip, however, I did not get that smell, leading me to believe it's something with either the bag itself, or a reaction between the chips & the bag. Again, consistent with all 8 bags (also, none of them have tasted rancid, just the smell of the bag). The chips themselves are quite small in size (reminding me of the bottom of the bag of potato or tortilla chips), originally making me think they had been crushed. They had not, it's just how they come. I now believe they get the skin pieces from the back & wings while other companies get full & intact skin from larger pieces such as the thigh & breast of the chicken. In all 8 bags, I have found at least 1 piece (often 2 & a couple of times 3 pieces) with multiple bunching of feathers that weren't fully plucked. I'm a pretty adventurous eater with a 'you never know if you don't try' attitude, & they're fully cooked, so probably nothing that can kill me too bad, so I tried the first 1...& quickly spit it right back out. If the texture of Captain Crunch doesn't bother you, then the feathered piece(s) might not either. They bothered me, though & for the same reason the texture of Captain Crunch bothers me. I now just throw them away. Just like traditional Chicharrons (& cheese puffs), most of the pieces are crisp & crunchy, but occasionally you'll get a piece that just melts in your mouth (my personal fav!). These are definitely seasoned (certainly salty), but I do like the seasoning. These are definitely fried/deep fat fried & could probably be drained more before being bagged as they're greasier than the brand I originally tried. Where these really shine is in the edible garnish arena, though. Anywhere you'd put croutons, crushed or decorative crackers (such as goldfish), crispy tortilla strips, cheese or onion straws, etc., these can be used. My favorite way to use these is with a blander, creamy soup such as tomato or autumn/harvest squash where the greasy & saltiness of the crisps elevate the soups a notch. Also great in most leafy green salads for the same reason. ***The Financial Breakdown*** I'll call this Brand H & my initial introduction to chicken skin crisps as Brand F Brand H: Brand F: oz/bag- 1.5 2.5 bags/order- 4 8 $/order- 12.45 29.00 $/oz- 2.08 1.45 $/bag- $3.11 $3.63 So, though these are more expensive/oz & about $0.50 cheaper/bag because there's 1oz less/bag than brand F. In summation: I'll keep an order of these in my pantry for soup & salad garnishing & reorder when I'm down to 1 bag, but for out-of-bag snacking, I'll stick to brand F.

Delicious
Very delicious! I was looking an alternative to pork skins. They are crispy and well seasoned. The four bags are small for the price but the product is very good.

Pretty Good, But Pricey
I hadn't heard of chicken skins until about a month ago and I ordered some of a different brand. I was disappointed for a number of reasons, mainly the price, the quantity and the fact there were only a few bigger pieces and essentially a bunch of crumbs. But the taste was great! I decided to give these a try as they are much less expensive than the other ones. Some of the reviewers here said they were greasy, too salty and some pieces had feathers attached! I haven't found that to be the case so far. They weren't greasy at all and although I wouldn't mind if they were less salty, it's not so bad that it's even worth mentioning other than to contrast with some others' opinions of them; I didn't find the saltiness excessive by any stretch. The 1.5 oz bags cost less each than the 1 oz bags of the other brand, and the delivery was much faster so if I'm going to continue buying chicken skins, it'll probably be these. Chicken skins taste amazing to me. The crunch, the flavor and the expected meat-like taste are unique and hard to duplicate with other snack chips or pork skins. These taste as good as the others I mentioned and there's more of them so...no brainer there. I haven't eaten all four bags yet but the one I did finish had no feathers. There were a lot of small pieces, similar to the other brand, but I'm thinking that might be just the nature of these things. I deducted a star for that anyway because I'd rather have more of the larger pieces. Overall, I like them quite a lot and will probably keep buying them until I get 'burned out' on them or get tired of the price, even though they're less pricey than the other brand. If you've never tried chicken skins, I'd suggest giving them a try. With this brand, if you don't like them, at least you'd be out less money!

Would Not Recommend
Shipping snacks in a bag is such a bad idea. Mostly crumbs in the bags. When I order from Kim's they ship in a box. Plus the taste is not as good. I will stick with Kim's.
