We have only purchased these name brand filters for our refrigerator. They seem to do a great job and you van definitely notice the difference in the taste of the water. The fridge cost a lot of money so we'd rather not chance it with a generic aftermarket filter. These last about 6 months, which is how long they recommend to change them out. It would be nice if they were a little cheaper, but the best overall price we could find was on Amazon. Overall, they work as advertised.

Easy to install. No leaks at all. Water tastes perfectly clean and crisp. Highly recommend.

I had a very hard time removing my old filter. Instructions said to press the center of it and it should pop out. My husband and I both tried, but were afraid to hit it too hard and break it. We finally had to get a repairman and he made a fist and popped it pretty hard with the pinky end of his fist, and it popped right out. Filter itself works pretty well, as far as I know.

These water filters really do last 6 months. The water that comes out of my Frigidaire fridge tastes really good and is always clear. I have no doubt that this filter does the job. Note: if you're changing the filter for the first time, you need to push the one in the fridge really hard to get it to "pop out".
