TDS is not a professional way to test the water quality, TDS means total dissolved solids, for example if you put a very little salt(NaCl) into the water and test the TDS, and you will find the result is dramatically high. Same thing, if your water is full of minerals, the TDS is very high too. The SP99 water filter doesn’t remove any of the minerals from water, it only stops heavy metals such as Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, and it removes greatly the VOCs, chlorine from water. TDS meter testing method is widely used in reverse osmosis system, if a RO membrane doesn’t have a good performance, the TDS is relatively higher. And if TDS is getting much higher, means it’s time to change the RO membrane. So please do not use TDS to test any water except Reverse Osmosis System, because the result is meaningless. Hope the information helps. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us. Best Regards, Frizzlife Customer Service Team **Q: Can the system be positioned upside down?** A: No mounting on back of filter is set up to be positioned with the filters on the bottom ## Frequently Bought Together - Frizzlife Under Sink Water Filter System SK99-NEW, Direct Connect, NSF/ANSI 53&42 Certified 0.5 Micron Carbon Block, Remove Lead, Chlorine, Chloramine, Fluoride, Odor & Bad Taste- Quick Change - Frizzlife M3005 Replacement Filter Cartridge Set (4 Pack) for SK99,SP99,SK99 New and SP99 New Under Sink Water Filter System - Frizzlife UPDATED M3001 Replacement Filter Cartridge (S) - Sediment Filter Cartridge - 1st Stage For SK99, SP99, SK99 NEW, and SP99 NEW Water Filter System --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.mx/products/325883408-sk99-new-under-sink-water-filter](https://www.desertcart.mx/products/325883408-sk99-new-under-sink-water-filter) --- *Product available on Desertcart Mexico* *Store origin: MX* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
