Good Cheesecloth but not so good of a value
I usually always have cheesecloth in my kitchen to use for food preparations but ran out so ordered this one because it's 100% natural cotton. I was a bit surprise to find how small the package was for the price compared to other cheese cloth purchases of the past. I used it to prepare Indian Cheese and it worked extremely well with a double layer for straining the curds and squeezing out the liquids. It appears to be strong, holding it's shape. None of my curds tried to leak through as I squeezed out the liquid. However, after cutting a double piece for my strainer I had about half of the pack left. It cost me $2.00 to cut a piece of cheesecloth for which to strain my cheese! I have no complaints other than the fact that it seems a bit expensive for the amount that you get, but if you are looking for good cheesecloth and don't mind the price you will probably be happy with this one. Order more than one pack though because you're going to run out quickly! Next time I'm thinking of just trying a very clean flour sac towel and save the money. I'd forgotten that my Indian friend used to use one to make her cheese. It's washable. Just make sure it's rinsed well!

truly inspired by a bunch of diy food blogs I had tried my cheese,.WOW...!!!!
After being truly inspired by a bunch of diy food blogs I had the opportunity of reading last month, I felt ready to take on more DIY projects, and really amp up my pantry storage. With this, I decided to start by making my own cheeses. So, what did I need to start my fromagerie? I bought this 1 X Organic Liquid Vegetable Rennet, 2oz. , Citric Acid Powder - Ultra Fine Pure Powdered Crystals - Natural Preservative Food Grade Quality (16 oz) , and our Regency Cheesecloth here. After following the instructions very carefully, Iā¦failed. I actually didnāt follow the instructions carefully, I completely made a misstep in the amount of both rennet and citric acid that I was supposed to put in, resulting in a goopy mess. I tried again, this time basically writing the instruction on my hands so that I wouldnāt mess up, and wouldnāt you know itāit came out pretty damn great! I canāt believe that not only was it edible, it also tasted really good. It was amazing. I started with ricotta, but feeling confident from my first cheese I then moved on to mozzarella. Success! I canāt believe it, but I did it, and the cheesecloth worked perfectly well. Now, Iāll be honest dear Amazon readers, Iām actually not going to be open a fromagerie so now I have all of these tools to make cheese, but little passion for the making itself. That said, I found other uses for my products. Well, kind of. The rennet: no chance, I havenāt found any use for it, someone please comment on this post and give me a use for it. The cheesecloth: so many cooking things. Anytime I need to take some of the liquid out of something, I use my cheesecloth. Basically, for any kind of filter you could need in the kitchen, my cheesecloth works as it. Now, the piece de resistance; the citric acid. The citric acid has so many uses that, finding more uses is actually becoming one of my obsessions. I (will) use it for preserves, I use it for my fruit salads, I (will one day) use it for making bath bombs, I even am going to try to clean my dishwasher with it this weekend. The brand is pretty good for the cheesemaking, as it leaves it with a really clean taste, as opposed to another brand my friend tried that she said gave it a funny aftertaste. Okay, gigantic monologue over, I recommend all of these products, and I hope you enjoy making ze cheese!

He visto la misma tela en diferentes precios pero no hay mucha variación. Es verdad que el precio es alto pero la calidad lo vale y funciona perfecto para hacer queso. La tela dura bastante, no se rompe ni deforma.
