Very high quality, for the price. The slides were not stuck together (which is very hard to find these days). They were also very clean from the start, so I could see my specimens very clearly. They function as any other optical microscope slide would, just put it in the clamp and put your specimen with a coverslip on top.

The quality is good and the ease of use is typical it's good. This is for educating my grandson and he's having a great time with it. The visibility is clear and and it should be.

These slides are ready for immediate use. Even at this very low price, the slides are protected with paper inserts between the slides to keep from scratches. The larger plastic box in which the whole kit is contained make a nice place to keep the slides ready for use. It is good that the outer box is included, because the box for the slides is made of very light paper and tore when being opened. The cover pieces are secure in their own container where they are protected from excess movement or from getting lost. These make for a really good deal for all but the finest work where extreme sanitizing is required. Even then, the slides could be further cleaned and sanitized, but they do not come in a biologically protected container.
