It was too small for some cat beds, but it was a decently sized spot. Thor absolutely loved it, but now I am doomed to eternally cleaning up tiny bits of cardboard and finding them in the bed.But we love our floofs, and we do these things because they make them happy. I had one in this spot, and a few along the windowsil. I was replenishing the cardboard and came across this.This is a vast improvement for humans and cats. The cat improvement is obvious: it's a box. Cats love boxes. The scratcher being at the bottom of a box means it contains all the bits of cardboard. All you have to do is hold the inside in place and shake it over the bin once a week.I purchased the version that came with multiple inserts because I am not sure if buying perfectly sized inserts will be easy. They are easy to stash, and I find they do last a decent amount of time, but that's because my cat would be fine with them never being changed. I just like to get new ones after a certain level of destruction.When one is used up, flip it over and use the back before switching to the next one. I am considering replacing the windowsill lining scratcher with box versions so I will finally be free of what I have come to call Cat-Glitter. Brilliant item, bits of card stayed in the box, kittens loved it & slept in the box. Unfortunately, it got used as a litter tray so had to go.

Very good product, with more than one scratcher which allows you to replace it once one is overused. I decided to go for this product because of the box as the previous one I had made a complete mess. She didn’t initially use it as she did not enjoy that it was flat. I added some elevation to it by adding a towel underneath it and is now a big fan.

Both love the new scratching box/bed, easy to put together even older cat manages to get in and out easily and is happy to sleep in it, both loved to use as a scratching place straight away.

My kittens are 8 months old, this is far too narrow for them, so don’t know how adult cats comfortably squeeze into this chequered box. Also, there are gaps in the scratch pads, they are not cut to size properly - the company said this is to accommodate the ball in the box, but fur kids showed zero interest in the ball in the box, even though they usually love balls.The pink L1 design with the holes in it is slightly larger and they love it - they enjoy sleeping in it and the scratch pads are cut to the right size, and flush with the box. Kittens approve of the box size and scratch pads for the pink box but not the black and white chequered box.

Our cat loved this scratch mat in a box straight off. It's neat design fits into a corner of our hall, this is our second purchase. We have various types of scratch mats, and our cat loves them, and it definately stops our cat scratching carpet, or furniture.

Arrives well presented, very neat and box feels very sturdy. Not sure if my kitten has grasped the concept of the scratch mats but he likes to play or lie in them regardless.
