It has worked well for me, and I have purchased it in different colors for gifts. This is a kitchen convenience that you don't think you would use much, but you find that you use it often. I especially like that it will boil a dozen eggs at a time. I use it mostly for boiling eggs. The timer buzzer is a bit loud and annoying, but that has been the case for all the egg cookers I've had. For a dozen eggs, use 3.5 oz water. This will be approximately 20 minutes, but wait for the buzzer. Have a bowl of cold eater read. As soon as you hear the buzzer, turn it off and promptly put the eggs in the cold water to stop them cooking. This will help them be easy to peel. This is definitely worth the approximate $25 price, one of those gadgets you will be happy to have.
