Raging Bull (Blu-ray + DVD)

Love this movie! so glad they did it in black & white..I am a die hard De Niro/Scorsese fan so it's nice to finally add this to my collection.I have a question: what type of machine should I purchase to re-wrap DVD/Blu Rays to re-sell any idea?anyway thank you!!

Classic movie. DeNiro, Scorsese, Pesci... what more could you want?

I have been hearing about this movie for quite a while, so I finally went out & got it. I thought it was going to be about boxing-on point with Rocky, Creed, or The Fighter. What I got instead was a stereotypical abusive "tough guy" from New York, a ton of vulgar language, & Joe Pesci being Joe Pesci. The fight scenes are laughable at best. Generally, if I hate a movie half way thru, I don't continue to waste my time...but I forced myself to watch this in it's entirety...and my opinion was not changed...

Violent, vulgar, unidimensional character - what's there to talk about??

Superbe film sur la vie de Jake La Motta, boxeur célèbre des années 1940 et 1950 qui a affronté victorieusement des célébrités comme Sugar Ray Robinson et Marcel Cerdan avant d'amorcer un déclin plutôt rapide. Ici, le film montre moins les matchs de boxe que la vie privée du célèbre personnage. Ses relations pour le moins orageuses avec son frère (Joe Pesci) et sa femme Vicky (Cathy Moriarty) sont particulièrement mises en évidence. La Motta est interprété de façon magistrale par Robert De Niro, qui a remporté l'Oscar du meilleur film cette année-là. Le film est réalisé Par Martin Scorsese qui s'associe pour la deuxième fois avec Robert De Niro (après ''Taxi Driver''). Ils se réuniront de nouveau plus tard pour ''Cape Fear'' (1991) et ''The Irishman'' (2019). Mais ''Raging Bull'' reste probablement leur meilleur film ensemble. À voir et à revoir.

I've heard talk for 30+ years about how great this film is, especially about Robert DeNiro's spot-on portrayal of the main character. I guess my expectations were raised too high. The film, ultimately, did NOT live up to its reputation, at least not what I had built it up in my mind to be. I would have to say that it was an unfortunate purchase. Perhaps my own fault, perhaps not. Oh well, live and learn.

The quality of the film is great, The package arrived on time and in good condition. I found the movie slow moving, but the fight scenes were good. Overall not bad, just not what i expected.

Excellent movie. DVD transfer is very good. Bought it for my movie collection. Movie is on the top rated 250 English movies on IMDB.com site.
