What happened to the moss in the phal kit?

I didn’t receive any moss in my set.

Will this kit work for a vanilla bean plant?

I used mine for orchids, but it's a good, sturdy, aerated plastic pot so I think you could use it for other things. The only problem might be the roots on the vanilla bean plant may grow through the slots in the plastic pots since it has terrestrial roots that require soil. Soil may fall out through the slots.

How many quarts of mix is in the mini bag???

There’s lots in the bag unless you have to repot a lot of orchids there should be lots.

What is the best mix for a hot dry climate?

The orchid bark mix would be the same as for any other environment. You would need to pay attention to humility and moisture. Also need to keep out of direct sun.
