This practice arm kit is shockingly realistic. The skin has a great feel to it and it's really cool how you get that little pop and flashback in the tube just like the real deal. The veins look realistic and hold up well without leaking after several pokes. Setting up the drip bag and and tubing is pretty straightforward and simple. This is an excellent tool for building confidence before having to work on real people. Well constructed and thought out by a reputable brand. Easy 5 stars and glad I found it.

I’m really happy with the overall quality of this training arm. It feels pretty sturdy, and once I got everything set up, it was actually really useful for practicing different techniques. It’s a nice option for getting some hands-on practice without needing to work on an actual person, and I like that it comes with the tubing and other accessories needed to get started. My biggest complaint is definitely the instructions. They’re pretty vague and don’t explain the setup or how all of the different pieces work together as clearly as I would have liked. If you’re new to using something like this, it can be a little confusing at first and there’s definitely some trial and error involved. A more detailed step-by-step guide with pictures or examples would make this much easier to use. That being said, once I figured everything out, I had a much better experience with it. The arm itself is well designed and gives you a realistic enough setup to practice and build confidence. For the price, I think it’s a solid training tool. Definitely recommend improving the instructions, but overall I’m happy with it and would still give it 4 stars!

I'm pretty happy with it thus far. I bought it as a nursing student to practice my IV sticks. I've been using it a few days now, it feels well made, easy to set up, decent price, and it's great practice. Sure it may not be completely life like, veins don't really roll, it's easy to see them, etc., but it's great to practice TECHNIQUE and become more confident with the process. If you're able to start a line on this no problem and have your technique down great, then when it comes to the real thing, all you have to focus on is the patient. I've had no leaks or anything yet, but we'll see as time goes on. I've used the included butterfly needle, syringe with attached needle (they're about 24-26 gauge), and started IV's with 24 gauge over the needle IV catheters. You're able to advance the catheter into the vein, flush the line, etc., no problems. Mine even came with the supplies to spike and hang an IV bag. I did put a Tegaderm on one time over the IV site and it stuck REALLY well to the skin, so much I don't want to use the Tegaderm on it anymore because I don't want to damage the skin on the arm. Overall I'd recommend for those just learning venipuncture and IV's.

I purchased this product to help me practice my IV skills for nursing school. The arm was easy to set up and works well. The thickness seems similar to the dummies we use in school and the veins are easy to locate. I used a 22 gauge needle but if you have a smaller needle that might be better so you don't end up with big puncture marks in the arm. I rotated puncture locations and the arm is supposed to reseal itself but I believe that at some point, after many punctures it will start leaking. Still, I must say I am pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of the product and it's ease of use. I fully recommend this product to anyone needing to practice their IV skills!

This is a really helpful practice kit for anyone learning phlebotomy or wanting to improve their technique. The practice arm gives you a good way to work on blood draws, injections, IV placement and venipuncture without practicing on an actual person. It’s convenient to have at home and makes it easier to get more comfortable with the steps and build confidence through repetition. Overall, I think it’s a great learning tool and definitely useful for extra hands-on practice.

This training model is an absolute steal for the price. My wife is an RN and works in a Plasma donation center, so this is right on point with what she does. The veins are inset enough to give you the training you need, but appear very well through the life-like skin material. She was so blown away by how nice of a product it is, and stated that it included waaay more veins in the model, than even the one she used during nursing school. You can practice IV sticks, blood drawing, phlebotomy, back of the hand, all down the forearm. I have yet to try and change out the material for the veins, since we havent stuck it enough to need to, but it looks like a simple act of replacing easy to acquire surgical tubing. If you have a medical proffesional you care about who does ANY kind of sticking, this an absolute must have. No question
