This is a great float. Good quality and very durable material. Not flimsy at all. I got the size small. None of my dogs has tested it yet, only my grand daughter did. Worked great for her too. She sat in there safe and sound and there was never a situation that we thought it would turn over. Of course she would never float unsupervised. It seems to be very comfy to sit in. I'm sure my dogs will enjoy it too. But even if not, it's a great kids float too. This review reflects my own unbiased opinion, i I did not receive any discounts etc to leave this review.

This was the first dog float I bought for him. The float is well made its wrapped in a material which is great that their nails don't puncture it. The only negative I would say is that he didn't like the cutouts that let water flow in and out he would not stand/sit in the middle. He liked to stand on the side. After having it for a few years I would recommend this as a good dog float.

We purchased the larger float 2 1/2 years ago and everything is fine except for it faded to be quite ugly. I replaced it with a smaller version a few days ago that is the same color as the original one was. Unfortunately, this one has valve problems and I will be returning it.

So let me start by saying this is either the 2nd or 3rd one of these I've purchased over the years and my yorkies have always enjoyed them and they've been quite durable. However, the float I received this time did not live up to previous standards. At first glance, all was pretty good. It seemed to be of a durable construction and the mesh bottom did not allow my little dogs to sink too much in the water, like some similar floats have done. Unfortunately, several things happened to it after using it the first time. First, the stem appears to be defective because it's very hard to inflate because the stem does not come out far enough to get it fully inflated; then, once you do finally get it inflated to a sub-ideal amount and try to put the plug in, it's nearly impossible to do without all the air coming back out immediately because there is no flap to keep the air inside like there is in many inflatables. These are pretty minor issues compared to the other things that happened to the float. Somehow, while my yorkie was floating around in the pool, the plug must have come dislodged from the stem and before I knew it, he'd almost drowned because the float was sinking and he was going underwater, not close enough to the steps to get out by himself. Then, we decided we couldn't use the float any more because of that issue and because we had so much trouble getting it inflated in the first place, so we took it out of the pool and laid it on the deck. The next day, my husband called me outside to look at the float and it had developed a huge bulge in one spot that ripped out about a foot and a half of stitching! I'm very sad that this float performed so badly because we really have enjoyed using them over the years. I am going to order a new one now and see if my bad experience was just a one-off. I'm hoping so, because it truly has been a good float over the years. Just not this year.
