One for one replacement.
It was a one for one replacement for the one gone bad on my boat. Easy to install and works just great. Not a lot of bells and whistles to fail or hookup. Lighted for night navigation and speed.

Pretty simple mechanism. It comes with an internal light to show your speed at night which was a nice surprise. Haven't installed yet but it should be a breeze. If you are mounting this type of speedometer to your boat for the first time make sure you buy the pitot kit because they are sold seperately

Make sure you have a 3 3/8th hole saw. They are hard to find and have to be ordered in most cases.
Good luck finding anywhere local that sells a 3 3/8 hole saw. Having a product with what would be considered an odd ball hole size makes it something I could not suggest to others to purchase. I have family who have tons of tools and no one has a 3 3/8th hole saw. Do yourself a favor and find a speedometer that uses a more readily available size. As for quality I can not speak on that yet... as I now have to order a hole saw and wait a few days for delivery.
