My t top has limited space. This unit is so tiny it fits perfect. ICOM quality in a small package.

Seems to work well. Wish there was a speaker on the mic as the max volume on the unit seems a bit low and hard to hear. Well made.

I am very disappointed in this radio. It worked great for the first couple of weeks, but now we’re having a major issue—no one can hear us when we transmit. Performance issue We can hear other boats clearly, but they can’t hear us unless we are less than about a mile away. That makes it essentially useless for real communication. It seems like something is wrong with the microphone or transmission. Not an antenna issue This is not an antenna problem—we’ve ruled that out. The issue is clearly with the unit’s ability to transmit properly. Reliability This radio has barely been used, so for it to fail this quickly is very disappointing, especially at this price point. Real-world impact We rely on VHF radios for communication with other boats during our dolphin and whale tours, so having a unit that can’t transmit properly is a serious problem. Value For something this expensive, I expected much better durability and reliability. Bottom line Worked well at first, but failed quickly and is now unreliable for transmission. Not acceptable for something so important. 🚤

Looks great..good sound..haven't learned all its functions. The only obvious dislike for me is you can depress the mic and hear the button click but if you are depressing the mic from the top or bottom edge or any angle it doesn't transmit.. I have to depress the button straight in and look for the transmit text to show to know I am transmitting. I was wondering why my group wasn't responding until I noticed the issue. This has never been an issue on any of my other radios until the mics were worn out or damaged.

We bought this back in October 2020- Today, we took the radio to an Electronics Pro Shop. Put the unit on a Bench with 2 Bird Watt-Meters -- This Only Puts Out 12 WATTS MAX! Further, the 1 WATT Feature Does Not Even Transmit 1 Micro Watt! I urge you to TEST this radio if you have purchased this ICOM
